I Play Diablo III Because of Path of Exile's Problems

Well I gave diablo 3 ros a shot being a big advocate of SFL. Boy was I wrong. SFL aka BoA is terrible. You are subject to "rng builds" not what u want - not where your imagination carries you but what you drop. Take it and like it. Another issue with rng is you may literally never get set or item you are looking for since every drop is a brand new dice roll. Sadly after 150 hours I never found many items I wanted and items others wanted I could only salvage since you cant give/sell/trade. Trade fixes these problems and i never understood how valuable trading is.

I wont even go on about crap itemization, no skill tree, terrible boss affixs etc but just post to say I was wrong. SF BoA is not the way to go. PoE is a better game for me. YMMV of course.

You'll think over that twice once u reach the endgame in PoE.. Till lvl 75 or so its all rainbows and unicorns in PoE.

Your argument would make sense if gold and exp actually mattered in Diablo 3 past the initial gem upgrading part and paragon levels don't make THAT much of a difference really... There's no reason to grind higher torment levels except for the increased chance of legendary drops, which again can be diminished by breezing through lower torment lvls until you can do the same with the next tier. You're acting as if playing on Torment 2 instead of 1 is somehow better when you could be speedfarming through Torment 1 instead.

Paragons are there for the sense of progression, works like a charm from my experience.
Gem upgrading gets extremely costly on the higher ones, and you're forgetting about enchanting (1 mod replacement) which requires a lot of gold if you get in a very unlucky streak.

With that, I've just said how there actually is an incentive to play harder content, just read again my last post regarding that, I don't feel like repeating myself.

Exactly! The paragon levels don't really make a difference stat wise, but everybody loves to see that exp bar move. And something is better than nothing ;)

And having the option to push to higher difficulty without having to pray to RNjesus for map drops is really nice. And there is a noticeably increased drop rates for crafting ingredients and keys in the higher torments.

I'm noticing a trend here, the ones defending POE are supporters that have paid more than what a game would actually cost in retail. It's a minority that want to defend their investment rather than looking at it both ways.

If GGG wants to please it's minority, then they're doing just that. What was the reason for POE to even hit Steam? The charts don't matter according to some but it mattered when it was at it's highest point? The gane needs direction, say what you want about D3, but it is the better game right now.

The moment POE hit Steam, it was going to be picked up by many, some casual gamers or people who aren't labeled as no-lifers and can't invest 12 hours a day farming. I'm sorry if it comes out harsh, but it's the truth.

GGG during Open Beta, were very vocal and admired the passion we had with feedback to help make their game a little better.

The ones who spent over $200 to be a supporter will defend every fault and they will never admit that they're many things that are broken. The ones who spent a minimal amount seem to be frustrated the most, they didn't invest in anything which allows them to be completely honest.

If someone spends $900 for a conqueror pack, would they really say this game is broken or unrewarding? Highly unlikely.

Money is not the only resource you can spend. Time is another such resource. As for how long you can be denial: varies from case to case, but at some point you cannot lie anymore.

Charan in these forums is a good example of a person that is beyond that denial and points out both good and bad parts of the game.

Lol, you should read more supporters posts then. Many supporters also know the difference between quality feedback and ranting. Quality feedback tends to fall off the front page faster than ranting.

What you're mentioning here, has nothing to do with supporters only, it's a general thing.
Well (first and possibly the last post),
I have been thinking a long time why we do not have "self found solo league" for casuals like me (higher drop rates, lowered difficulty, even without the trading options). I think there is a number of players who do not want to trade, interact or race, just to play their way.

In that league, it will be possible to have a good time without optimized build, without grinding, without trading.

From my point of view, it will be not technically difficult to make it and I do not see any chance that the "sucker player builds" from the "sucker league" will anyhow "disgrace" the hardcore player community. It will be something like "training mode".

I have found only one reason, there is not this league already (I really do not see any damage done to anyone by having it): GGG is financing POE by RMT (partly ofcourse).
From this point of view, some strange things come to have a logic:
a) Undeveloped awfull trading somehow out of the game
b) Difficulty settings
c) No friendly attitude against "casual suckers"
d) Extreme RNG casino system forcing players to use nonexisting trade

Conspirational theory? Maybe, but I do no found any other reason for GGG behavior towards this game.

And now. Let the flames burst and ban comes :).

They kept emphasizing during early CB that we would be able to have custom leagues that could run like that.

I'm sure now they'll say "It'll fracture the community too hard" or some other excuse
They said we would have custom leagues in the future. They never said what options we would be allowed to alter.
