GGG please make these two keys

THIS! Adding something in game that everyone can use is amazing. That way there is no questions about using what is legal and what is not. Having an /oos key would be EPIC!

Just one problem with that - everyone would spam that key due to the current desync issue.
GGG could just sent a paket every few seconds, preventing a lot of desync. They don't because that would fry their server hardware. I imagine that adding a /oos key to the game would still be too much to handle.
just dont play full screen and use normally ALT*F4 which is "close prog" shortcut from every windows version

why the hell using a macro or stuff like that??

Pressing one key is faster and less prone to error, e.g. hittin the Windows key next to ALT. ALT+F4 closes the game and does not put you into the character selection screen = loosing time restarting the game.

Sorry, but a lot of us don't want the game to be easier.

I hope you misread my post.. Are you actually suggesting that not being able to cheese out of your mistakes would make the game easier?

You didn't misread it, I just thought I was talking to someone who knew anything about how the game is balanced.

On the other hand this quote menas that trade macros are legal IF they are not fully automated, leaving a wide open grey area.
E.g. one button to switch through trade channels, another button to manually post your trade message. Even trade macros that would use stash tab positions like poe.xyz.is does, should be legal.

Such a trade macro is not allowed for a different reason: spam.

A TP macro is unequivocally not allowed, it's 5 or 6 actions. :P

How about randomizing the position of the buttons when the ESC key is pressed, wouldn't that disable auto-hotkey logouts and force players to think further ahead when in tight situations? Or they would have to just alt-F4 , but then would have to go through the wait process of loading up the game again.

Even as a user of logout macros, i really like this idea!

So macro that moves cursor to exit button is ok?

Yes.

Logging to avoid death is so terribly cheesy I hope when you loggers all die the devil will feed you nothing but cheese

The game was specifically designed with instant logout in mind. Encounters are more difficult and monsters hit harder because of it. See D3 for the other school of thought. Much easier encounters, but you can't instantly logout.

A macro that posts a message in 1 trade chat only should also be ok.

It's not allowed because it breaks spam rules.

also, people abuse the logout macro by making it also spam potions before logout. and you praise those people in announcements.

That is not allowed. No point complaining, rather take action by reporting them, with link to video timestamp.

but the GGG allowable player created macros list would be cool from GGG... might make a few off the list myself

I've basically created this list already, see the first link above.

They would presumably use the same 10 second cooldown they already use for /oos.

Clearly misreading again.. I don't know how to dumb it down further for you so whatever, you're right, dieing from your mistakes makes the game easier for sure. Having no consequence due to a panic button is super hardcore gameplay and I truly loath those talented enough to play in this manner.

You don't get it. If GGG had designed the game with "no instant exiting" in mind, they would have made the game far easier, to compensate.

What makes you say that? The game is already easy to play, why would they need to make it even easier?

that is the strangest conspiracy theory i've read so far XD

so u're saying GGG designed the game in such a way that we are meant to cheat the rules they gave us in the first place...

Spoiler

i don't see what yer problem is sir. He's simply saying GGG allows people to instant exit... they KNOW people will instant exit... so, in designing how hard they create their stuff they keep that in mind... even if just a little.

it isn't "cheating the rules"... they allow it and it's by their own design. Otherwise it'd be delayed exit etc.

it just stands to reason if they know people are going to quick exit, and even allow macros to do so, that they'd take that into account when designing the "hardness" of play. It's obviously not a complete non issue.

it has nothing to do with "conspiracy".
