Fun fact: every video or image I've ever seen in which skill gems were available to level up has had people commenting about how you can hide them. It's an interesting piece of knowledge, I think there may actually be an embedded subliminal command to share it, no lie.

Man. Look at these responses. What a bunch of jackasses. This community treats new players worse than almost any I've ever seen. It's sad too. Because not so long ago, I remember being particularly impressed with the willingness of random people to help answer beginner questions and provide new player feedback and advice in General Chat.
I'm a giant asshole the majority of the time and even I'm repulsed by people's behavior in this thread. New Year's Resolutions:

Granted, it's a fairly obvious feature (all you have to do is hovering over the button) but there actually is a lot of information that is less obvious/has been introduced so long ago that documentation has been drowned since. E.g how to check item levels in the trade window by pressing alt. Therefore I support public service threads. No need to be hostile. :-)
