RNG is the only reason why people attempt to keep playing past a certain point. That's artificially inflating the lifespan of your game

disagree

RNG is a core element of all ARPGs, but it is absolutely not the case that you can just make the drops progressively worse and worse and players will just be like "OK that's fine ill just grind more."

lol. doesn't work.

We will see in 4 months when people can't upgrade their shit anymore in D3. You will eventually hit a wall there, the "good" thing people are seeing is the doors they open for you on the way there.

Hilarious! Hitting a wall eventually... well of-fucking-course, except the reason won't be a leveling wall at ~80th lvl because of RNG.
Or, if one plays self-found, cruel Dominus is a nice wall, let alone merciless Dominus.

Now I'll do a well-know PoE counter to every shit thing in the game:

- Reroll.

At least one isn't playing a cassino simulator there. I hate to say this, but, I'm really enjoying the adventure mode in D3, it's even better than map system in PoE (disregarding map drops) because there, you want to kill the boss of the area, you get reward for it, and the content isn't gated behind your luck, if one can handle things, he plays it.

MF is centered around your strength, which finally allows me, as a melee player, to have some fucking drops.

I no longer see this PoE's map system as a better "endgame" than in D3 (again, disregarding the map drops).

And on top of everything, I can play on high settings without any sort of lag or FPS drops (and they did improve the graphics area from D3 to RoS), and here, it's worse and worse with each patch, where I've started playing PoE on max settings, constantly lowering it down during a period of time, where I cannot play without lag/FPS drops even on "texture quality 8".

Like I've said somewhere earlier today, I might start playing PoE again when these issues starting to get addressed and improved of course.
i dont know what you exactly mean by hitting a wall?

at least i hit a wall by slaying monsters not by trading in Ros.

I played both games, and feel free to tell my opinion how orb of regret system, map system, item drop rates, end game, leveling sucks in path of exile compared to ROS.

I don't think anyone can tell the opposite, cause poe a dead game at the moment.

+

i don't have to pay to modify my character looks, skin transfer is free in ROS.

Poe so greedy for 1 skull effect you pay £30 worth of points, maybe more and it looks so cheep not like arpg character.

+

game plays so smooth no desync it is perfect.

i like everything in the game will play another 1.5 year like i did in first release.

as for the poe, bye bye american pie!

Well what is so special about that a game that has been release 3-4 days ago make you feel more exciting than PoE that you played for the last year or so?

Enjoy it for the 2-3 weeks that I and most others will give it. You can't seriously believe that the content will be enaugh to make you play it any longer, tinko do you? For what reason would you even invest time into grinding it for hundreds of hours once you have found most uniques and with always the knowledge in the back of your head that everyting you do now is going to be deleted with the next add-on anyway!?

hf with this anyway tinko! :D

PoE nevertheless seriously needs endgame improvements, variations and all that stuff and alot it, not like 1 new boss. The whole map system needs to become one part of endgame that makes 30-40% of the endgame content instead of 95-100% that it is now.

Well for all those off to play D3 good luck and have fun.

Like to say I'd give it another go,but I can't suffer its core gameplay mechanics and art style.

Shame the custom leagues are taking so long to get together but oh well.
See you in two weeks when you realize it's still the same old D3.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

That is one of the things I enjoy in RoS the most.
I think it is completely pointless to enforce players to run easy content.
Anyone who is still thinking about D3 RoS can watch Alkaizer's stream.
He is paragon level 607 currently...

in PoE terms,
the most efficient way of playing D3 RoS endgame is to run 66 maps

oh wow

D3 RoS has automatic /REMAINING !!!
Chocolate ice cream is so much better than vanilla ice cream. Vanilla sucks and tastes bad. They're both ice creams but I feel like complaining because I'm right and you're wrong and I base this purely on personal preference.
