Poe XYZ Broke the trade

QFT then they wonder why people stop playing the game.
No they don't wonder ....

Where do you think most of the 2013 -2014 crowd have come from ?

Certainly not a game where they found their own gear. lol
I know this is my own personal opinion and won't be agreed on most likely...

as far as I'm concerned poe.xyz IS the game and the actual path of exile client was simply a 7 year project that ended 2 years ago to make a supporting graphical interface for it... with either the steam or xfire overlay browsers (or any similar) merging the two into one entity.

It can't really break the game for those who view it as the real core of the game...

i think poe XYZ broke the trade in this game its my opinion... the people base the price of the item on the lowballer and its fucking annoying

GGG stated, that PoE will be a trade-dependant game. So, i expect to have some kind of auction there. Yet, there is none.
3-rd party sites offer some convenient tools for trading, but those are NOT enough. GGG should either make PoE trade-ndependant (like Blizzard made D3), or add a fully functional auction, that alllows fast, convinient trading, even if seller is offline/afk.

Which is why in the four years I've been around this game I never once believed that POE was ever going to be so currency trade focused with such piss poor loot progression and would actually be barter orientated.

With D3 losing all its AHs a lot more players will be coming to POE,it's going to be rather primitive for them without in game trade infrastructure.

you even call these people "players" of the game?

the kind of person who left d3 because of no AH can hardly be called a player of the game.

they are just the trading scum who don't even want a challenge at all. they just want to farm the auction house and then easily defeat all content in the game.

then they compare gear size with others and basically spend all their time playing barbie dress-up.

some "dungeon crawler"

To be fair, because in the past I have not been...That's the game they play (they play the market) and it's a game POE is offering them, except without the infrastructure currently.

=P

without poe.xyz.is, I would probably quit the game. There is no SFL and ALL my trading starts with poe.xyz.is. I do all my pricing based on what I see there, I do my offers based on what I see there. My WHOLE trading experience is based around that one website. Why? Because the trade system in this game is literally next to the most primitive thing possible. The only thing worse would be if we couldnt link items at all.

Can I beat merciless without trading? Sure. There are people that do that now. At the start of new leagues, most of my gear is self found as I hold my currency and push for merciless on the first day.

Once I am in merciless though, I need gear. Good gear. Not the shit I've been wearing for the past 30 levels. If there was a SFL that balanced around not trading, then sure, I'd play without poe.xyz.is. I think a lot of people don't care how they get the gear they need as long as it is obtainable (trading, crafting, vendors, etc). Currently, trading is the ONLY way.

No, drops are shit because of GGG's decisions on how loot and the quality of it is when it drops. Poe.xyz.is is an indexer. That's it. It takes the clusterfuck we make on this forum, and organizes it. With less players, the less of a clusterfuck is made, the less we need an indexer.

You are basically killing the messenger, so to speak. He (the indexer) is not the villain to blame for your drop rates.
