Logout is instant by design, that's how it was meant to be.

Should be using HotKeys macro scripts to drink flasks or auto logout when life drops below safe levels. There are some excellent ones floating around.

That timer only applies in cutthroat. There is no timer outside that.

There's no timer for portals, that was in cutthroat where logging out also has a 5 second timer.

Had exactly the same thing happen to me a couple of days ago during dominus fight in Cruel. My char was dropping really fast, I escaped into tp on low hp and was kicked back into login screen instead of town. Welcome to standard.

Basically, you just gotta make sure you are outgearing the stuff you are engaging. It's really that simple. Watching the vid you just weren't ready to safely kill that boss. And as it's been said, you did not die in town. You didn't even reach it.

So a guy plays 100% legit without using alt+f4 or a logout macro and people are saying it's his own fault for not using a logout macro or alt+f4. But if someone uses a logout macro the community flames them for "abusing insta-logout and not playing real hardcore".

I'm sorry but given all that it's really hard for me to not just come the conclusion that this community is overpopulated by hypocritical idiots.

Ehh.. you also would've been fine if you had just used your quicksilver and made a run for it seeing as it already burned its flicker cooldown on you.

How are people possibly finding ways for this to be his fault? He used a teleport at just less than half life and died, game is a broken piece of shit.
