Grim Dawn

I was never that crazy about Titan Quest, but Grim Dawn looks pretty interesting. My main issue with TQ was how utterly boring melee seemed to be. I got to I think lvl 22 and still only had one active skill in addition to my LMB melee attack. I also didn't like how the game forces you to wear some skimpy little skirt.

This is not true. As mentionend it is offline SP game, they try to release first acts of the game, sell it on steam and get enough money to keep development going.

From what I heard about Grim Dawn, its not going to be "Online only" like D3 and PoE. Which is a huge positive. I enjoy ARPGs more if they are played offline and solo, and then I can mod the games to my liking however I want. And then online play would be an addition to the game.

I don't understand why GGG doesn't just sell offline versions of the game for #20 or something, I'd but it.

"Combine any of five distinct skill classes each with multiple skill trees in which to specialize. Advance your class mastery up to 75 levels to unlock dozens of powerful skills and synergistic modifiers. New classes will be periodically released through downloadable content."

Big put-off. Pretty sure they don't come free?

Was it a bad thing for Blizzard to sell a Diablo 2 expansion with two new classes? I don't really understand where the problem is in people charging for their work.

It is also not a sixty dollar title. The game plus a DLC will likely not even cost that amount. Additionally the classes will be TQ style where you choose two schools and that is your class. Every time they release new schools your game has more replay value.

I expect this game to be better then PoE.
SP game so no desync, lag and so on. Better graphics and animations, physics system. More story and more interesting world. Seems characters will still be able to be made really complex with lots of options. More unique items, they said something like 1000 will come with the game. And since with FFA I can only play PoE with friends I will have same deal with Grim Dawn as it is not online only and I will also need to party with friends for MP.

Got my alpha-key, looking forward to it but w/PoE firmly sinking it's hooks into me, where does one find the time?
