I just found a Midnight shard while doing a merciless docks corrupted area.
Coincidentally, I also decided to record the fight -- link to video. Why can't we just sacrifice a goat...

You can see the time stamp the zone was created when you ctrl-click on it. As for killing the boss at the exact time... good luck.

My records for an hour of merciless forest farm (time of vessel opening):
dusk 20h34 GMT+1 dusk 22h14 GS 22h19 DS 22h29 FB 22h35 dusk 22h44 LW 22h45 dawn 22h54 RoA 22h57 DD 23h05 The time was taken from my computer clock, but ingame time time is like 3 minutes ahead (DD forest zone was created at 23:06:40 for example). |

" if it were based on time like this, then everyone clicking randomly would create an even distribution and midnight wouldn't be rare. Same goes for the listed above but as minutes in an hour rather than seconds in a minute. Its also clearly not hours in the day since that would just be stupid excluding entire regions of players. Guys.. If your speculating wich time of hour theese fragments drops your wasting time.
Unless its like this: 0-30 Minutes dusk 30-55 minutes Dawn 55-59 Minutes and 30 seconds Noon Last 30 seconds of the hour Midnight. there is a reason to why Dusk and dawn are basicly worth 1-2 chaos and Midnight is worth around 7 exalts at the moment. Becouse the drop rate is lower. Period. It has nothing to do with when you find the fragments. @TiKaD
