Asynchronous trading? Really? Why?
I mean improving a trading system was bound to happen sooner or later, but this..? Seems like too much too soon. We have gone from "horrible trading" to AH right away?
Did you guys (GGG) considered the implications of fully effective global asynchronous trading system aka. AH and the consequences that will have on your game? I wish I could guess you've did but I'm in serious doubt. Following inflation, and deterioration of all items value will make tremendous impact on difficulty. Being able to cash in items fast will affect boting and rmt-ers. Game will become more trading based sim. Flippers, hoarders, rich players that will affect to influence the market, more trading and less playing.... just from top of my head. Are you guys really ready to deal with all that? I might be wrong in some of this, system might be different or more advanced ... who knows but still. I mean what's wrong with SYNCHRONOUS and LOCAL "trading post" instead of almighty AH? IT would still be definite step up and wouldn't impact whole game that dramatically. You just transfer trade chat to one forum like, searchable place. You post your goods, people browse and you wait. I'm not sure you know what an AH is.
Anyway, " you know this is all reasonably true already, right? I think, if anything, this would REDUCE time spent trading for your average player. That is nothing but a positive thing. Ancient and unwise, SSF only since 2012

This is what the grand majority of the players want: painless & efficient trading.

spending 5+ hours in various trade channels to sell a good rare item for what its worth it something that this kind of option would completeley eliminate which would mean more stuff gets sold and more stuff gets get found since people have more time to actually play the game instead of sitting in town because everytime you zone your itemlinks all break in your trade chat spam post

Trading is way too easy right now. What they should do, is not only scrap this "asynchronous trading" nonsense, but hell, remove the trade screen altogether! Make it so you have to drop your items in order in order to trade them, like they did in the old days! I mean, come on guys, this is a HARDCORE game after all. Only HARDCORE players should be able to get good items! Or what are you, some kind of casual?

asynchronous trading is not at the level of AH
please, we need a way to trade with off-line players, restricting trades to online-online only is completely retarded in a game that is played worldwide with different players on different time zones. maybe old-school trading worked well before online games got big but nowadays it's outdated. I agree diablo 3 was so stupid due to the auction house but this is not the same thing, a crappy trading system is holding this game back IGN: OldManBalls (Warbands)

" The old way of trading was great - scams were virtually impossible because nobody trusted each other. Well, actually, we had almost no scamming because nobody was a dick (I never once heard of any scams in CB) - but anybody that would want to try to scam you, it'd be pretty apparent by their behavior. The trade window was necessary, but the old way of trading worked and it was certainly 'more hardcore' because it was riskier to trade, even if scamming was on the low side. I can't fathom GGG rolling out new trade functionality without revamping the economy at the same time.
