So, what are your initial thoughts on this new 'minion' skill?

spider mines are nice, but nothing beats Sledge Bot + Gun Bot + Healing Bot :)

Just wanted to highlight this: You do NOT need to keep auras on your skill bar once you've cast them. Unless you are actively activating/deactivating them often, you can simply cast them once, then remove them from the skill bar.

I don't understand why many of you think that this skill was made to be an addition to current summon builds.

It would be more interesting if it enables new completly different builds, different from the standard spectre/zombie setup.

On a side note I find this extremely annoying, I shouldn't have to have them on my skill bar at all if they can be removed after casting them. Even having an option to switch to a 2nd hot bar like we do with swap weapons would make this less annoying.

probably the skill is considered a minion and thus scales on minion damage.

which means it will be useless to non-summoner build due to the abysmal base damage

I wonder if its a support that could be used with a bunch of different spells, sort of like animate weapon, but more animate spell?
A damage spell augmented by minion nodes and items ready for the totem support gem as summoner? Sounds fun!

I agree I should be able to run 20 different equipment slots worth of skills with any build. WHY CAN'T I HAVE EVERYTHING GGG?
