My Thoughts about RNG Manipulation.

First things first, ive been playing this game full time from a bit more than a year, 16 hours a day nonstop, just lately ive been forced to reduce my playtime due to studies.

I love this game, a ton, things you are doing are incredible for a free game perspective, and im by no means stopping playing this for a long time, yet, ive recently had the feeling that RNG is being ACTIVELY MANIPULATED to create situations. Like several race teams getting the items they want/need and see who uses em better, forcing dsyncing in certain situations .. etc.

Im pretty aware of the issues on the game, and so i am about ppl complaining about dsync and stuff like that... and this post is far enough from those kind of whines.

Its inevitable... in the end its a game where you can actually create any item/currency/random effect and give it to the player you want, whenever you want.. but, and only if, you intend to create a real competitive environment those kind of things should be completely banned, pursued and punished.

I know, PoE is like a little big family and I'm pretty sure more than you´d want to admit has been , or is actively involved in this kind of behaviours.

In the end I dont give a shit, you'll prolly say this have never happened blablabla ...period.

It is a common conversation through active players tho, the "incredible RnG" some famous streamers happen to have constantly, and ill be honest, i dont care if this or that gets richer in normal leagues or if the magical conception of a unique through a chance occurs in the exact time of max audience... sincerely, not my business...

But competition is, and ive been doing so since i was really young, and honestly, something stinks, even when it favours me in a race, it does, stop it. thanks.

This is a huge game, and it will grow.

However what you're describing is different, and it simply isn't what's happening at all. You're making a fairly serious accusation of dishonesty against GGG (given that they've repeatedly stated that they don't do what you're accusing them of), and you've given no evidence at all to back up your claim.

Chris and his core crew are very, very protective over the game. It's their baby. They wouldn't jeopardize its integrity over something as silly and trivial as what you're suggesting.

So, ive never spoke about conspiracy but you've got to be fucking naive if you think that words coming from representatives of companies are one-hundred-percent the truth in-all-cases.
We do live in a perfect world and everything's pink and i can laugh at you the same way you try to laugh at me... see?.

Im based in my own experience, ive dead tons of times, not a word, not a sigle whine, just learn if there was a mistake or just sigh about the dsync, and it stinks, and it will keep stinking even if this post is buried under thousands of trolling pics coming from a guy who fear racing cause random ppl destroys him but is always the first to post in forums... btw.. his behaviour, actually goes against what Chris posted about hating in forums. if you dont have anything to say stfu, if you do, make it be a constructive response, and this post I made fits perfectly in those parameters.

Yup, not even over money. I'm certainly no soul mate of anyone (except the dog you see in my avatar to the right), nor can I say I have the pleasure of knowing any of the devs on any great personal level, but I like to think that I at least know Chris well enough to have an understanding of the dedication that he has for the game, and for that to exclude the possibility of the OP being correct.

Just put yourself in his position for a moment. You've poured everything you have, financially and emotionally into creating the game of your dreams over the course of seven years of your life. The entire game is dependent on there being legitimately competitive gameplay. Why on earth would you even consider screwing it up? The answer is you wouldn't.

When a streamer finds a stupidly good item they link it to their friends via ingmae chat and word spreads that way. I imagine those watching him, which is sometimes other streamers and their viewers spread the news to their friends who share enthusiasm for the game. This all causes people to flock to that stream and have a look for themselves, hence the high viewing figures surrounding such an event.

The viewing figures are nothing compared to the surge when a popular streamer dies.

It isn't GGG going 'Oooooh look, this streamer has 3k viewers, lets kill him!'

Im by any means not trying to hurt this company, just the opposite, make them double check the possibility of this happening, i may be wrong, ofc i could but im really careful on these subjects and it does still stink for me, even when im the one favoured by weird rngs... u wanted an example? k ill tell you what made me think of this.

On the last 1 week race on january I played with 2 more buddies and was forced into a conduit summoner mf build for the best of my team, once we began mapping the drops started to flow... we got every single piece for summoner, tupuna, bargain, montreguls... all from 69+ maps with 100mf on gear.

Yes i know in races there are no items in the servers and thus, big drops are easy to see if you are in the high maps, and that´s what i though first.

At some point, i was performing an agressive cursing and i needed extra tankiness so decided to post WTB Lioneye´s Remorse ... 15 min after it dropped for me, almost perfect btw...

At some other point another racer posted WTB Auxium, guess what? it ended up dropping for him.

What are the chances of all this to happen at the same race? very low i guess.
You could even argue that we were dedicating a ton of time in holidays and thats something they would want to reward.. yet its the same thing.

Ofc. Cant be 100% sure of this. just another story I guess.
