Lunaris temple a bit overkill on the blood? (spoiler)

Moar blood = better game. Fact.
Lunaris temple was my favorite part in the entire game BY FAR especially level 3. It is where you finally discover the true machinations behind the crazed nemesis you have been following. And look on the overview page of the game. GGG even says they meant this game to be gritty, bloody, dark, and frightening.
What a needless and bullshit thread you have there OP, if you want rainbows across the sky there are better choices out there, and you know it !

I think some people just complain for the sake of talking rubbish, without bringing any valid points.
"This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"
If I were to raise any concerns about Lunaris, it would be that the amount of blood that's there defies possibility. How did all of it get there? Like, that's a ridiculously huge amount. Seriously. Even for all of those bodies, we're talking oceans of the stuff. Some people might, instead of focusing on the point of the display (that is, Piety is a complete monster who needs to die for the sake of everyone else), get distracted by the issue. And instead of getting to the end and shouting "Die, monster!" they will instead shout, "Where did you get all that blood? Did you contact the Red Cross or something!?"

...Okay, so I didn't really think that too much, but maybe some people will.
Well it is supposed to be dark and gritty so..
Definitely my favorite part of the game thus far! The decor is amazing, and the mobs super fun to fight :D

It's not gritty, Diablo 1 Butcher Room is "correctly" gritty.
Lunaris temple is ridiculously and preposterously grotesque. As Alcarnus in Diablo 3.

Please devs, don't make the stupid design error of Blizzard, really a turn down for me.
Isn't possible to avoid rainbows (:D) AND Alcarnus like levels?

I know this is a really old thread, and I don't know why it was bumped - but I just wanted to say this is exactly how I react every time I go there. It's like "How on Earth is there so much blood?"

I'm happy to suspend my disbelief to see how she can teleport, or animate literally hundreds of crazy frankenstein zombies, or summon huge balls of lightning, or even how she was unable to find the baleful gem (even though it's obviously right there in the giant electric table thing you mutant). But there's just so much blood in her temple it goes from being 'dark and gritty' to comical. I'm not even sure there is that much blood in the entire (real) world.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

Jesus once did turn Water into Wine.
Piety did not.

A Human consists to 80% of Water.
If you take an dagger and peak him, what comes out is Blood.

But it's not gritty. It goes too far and just becomes ridiculous. A pool of bloody corpses? Sure. A cart full of fresh dead bodies? Sure. A menagerie of assorted monstrosities (those keep, they don't need maintenance)? Sure. But a gigantic ocean of fresh blood, literally thousands of fresh corpses... Look, given the human population of Wraeclast we've seen, Piety could kill pretty much every single person in Wraeclast at once and still not end up with that many corpses. It's a little bit ridiculous. And as Dodiobugtron said, yeah, sure, suspending disbelief for badass magic? Sure. But a gigantic ocean of unexplained blood that surely reaches a few city blocks with no explicit statement, "this is magic"? All those corpses that are somehow not rotting and decaying? Doesn't make sense.

Lunaris 2 succeeds beautifully in being dark and gritty. The dark, claustrophobic atmosphere, the occasional pool of blood scattered around, the solid handful of corpses strung up in brutal ways... That's believable. That's dark. That's gritty as all hell. Lunaris 3... Isn't. It's just so over-the-top so as to become implausible.
