Lunaris temple a bit overkill on the blood? (spoiler)
|
Seriously a literal ocean of blood? I'm all for a blood bath such as the one in piety's room but this was a bit much. I liked how dark the rest of the game was with grim horror and all that but I found the whole 3rd floor be a bit sickening. why the hell is that temple even that big anyway?
Other than that act3 was very well done, though a lot of the monsters felt very 'alien' in comparison to the first 2 acts where most everything felt pretty normal. though it may be just me feeling out of place because I've played the first 2 acts so much. tl:dr lunaris temple 3rd floor is a bit rediculous in terms of how much gore there was. I dont understand the complaint OP, its gory?
So what? If i remember correctly there was/is dead fetuses on the beach in the first beach area. If that isnt gory-er then blood-central then you seem to have a sensitivity to blood. |

sorry, I confused Lunaris with Solaris! My little tribute to Diablo 1 aka why Diablo 3 is the worst part of the series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP2ejhudUlU ig: Witchfire_The_Unholy Last edited by Diablo1reborn#2842 on Jan 26, 2013, 11:16:44 AM

" So you want the game to be smaller? The areas are huge, but I love it. Loved the gore and huge piles of bodies. The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

" What bothers me is how they keep all that blood fresh, i mean shoudnt blood eventually dry up and become brown-ish? If all the blood i encounter is fresh red and shiny, it looks like fake-blood to me as atleast some of it should be brown and dry. Unless a necromantic spell keeps it fresh for decorative/practical purposes. |

Big levels are fine. They're a welcome addition to a world full of "everything has to be clearable in 30 minutes in between whatever" (quoting blizzard philosophy on heroic dungeons in WOW)
Keep it the way it is, it's great. Path of PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW

I really liked the juxtaposition of the Solaris temple with the Lunaris temple. Solaris was very clean and pure. Untouched. Beautiful. Lunaris is a temple of the same design, but corrupted by Piety. Horribly corrupted. A veritable holocaust of sick experiments so terrible that all of the nice clean water was turned red by all of the blood.
The difference between the two was like... *sunglasses* day and night. Last edited by Magni_Steelheart#2903 on Jan 26, 2013, 10:34:13 AM

I loved the lunaris temple. Most likely the second creepiest level design in video games for me right after the tower of latria.
Only thing that would be an issue for me is after you
Spoiler
kill Piety
You just went through pools filled to the brim with the blood, literally thousands of corpses on carts, so many that they block the path for you to progress, twisted abominations of former human beings and the character I am playing says she admires all of what she's just seen? Really? I'm all for dark grey moralities, but that's over the line even by my standards. How is someone supposed to root for her after that? I ended up playing my ranger instead afterwards. |
