Would you support a 6L Orb that cost X fusings?

Which is better: 4+2 or 3+3?

I guess that one is pretty easy.

Now what's better: 4+1+1 or 3+3?

euh ? i don't see your point, while his solution might be interesting, it increase the currency sink by doing so for no reason

No. I wouldn't. Not everyone will get a 6L.

I'll elaborate, and it's not a huge point to be made.

I don't care for "you can't break links," because once your item gets to 3L+3L, the only way to re-roll it without breaking links is to convert it to a 6L.

So, you have to allow breaking of some links. How can you do so consistently?

Now you could say "well, of course 5L is better than 3L+3L." And I'd accept that.

Now is
3L+3L -> 4L + 2L something that should be allowed? Probably.
is
4L + 2L -> 3L+3L something that should be allowed? I could see the argument that it should be locked away as impossible, but maybe someone really wants 3Ls. (That's why they let you roll fusings on 4L/4S gear now)

How about 3L+3L -> 4L+1L+1L ? etc.

It's too much to ask for if you're going to base links on an RNG-based reroll system.

Only the lucky people should get 6Ls, I guess.

I like elitism. So long as it isn't elitism-based-on-RNG. :)

Or those dedicated enough to put in the time.

Haven't read through the whole thread, but is it true the max number of fusings one person can have in inventory is 1200?

If that is true I was not even remotely aware of that. Or is that just with 4 stash tabs?

i see now what you mean... what i had in mind is no matter what on the item 6L>5L>4L>3L>2L>1L

problem is like you said someone might like 4L + 2L or 3L + 3L thus making that guy solution even more desirable,

my problem is that it increase the currency sink even more, while dropping the probability which i'm not fund off
