PoE wins d3

I probably won't buy it.

But honestly, it sounds like a fair trade.

You should also be thankful they still release P2P games, the reason is you won't have to waste your time to fight intended heavy disadvantages that serve as baits to make people buy packs from the company on a regular basis in order to have a good experience.

The best of both D3 and PoE - what an awesome game this would be:

Graphics engine from D3 - in PoE style, dark and mature. POE engine is fine overall, but ofc it could be better. Hit feedback and character animations are way better in D3.

Network code from D3. Massive desync is still PoE's greatest flaw by far.

Cinematics from D3, but with the PoE lore - i actually like the story and lore from PoE alot more, now that i know a little bit of it.


... and that's about it what D3 could bring into the marriage, everything else would be pure PoE. But as it stands right now, i'm more than happy with PoE and won't buy D3 RoS, as it sounds boring to say the least.

And yes, i do hope that Blizzard fails hard with RoS, even though i know they won't. From a casual's PoV, D3 is a very good game, it's just not a Diablo. Path of Exile may not have the name, but it has the soul. It has been said before but i'll say it again: Path of Exile is the (only) true Diablo successor.
