players over 50 how you doing?
" Well, just how fast/slow are your reflexes? Like, if it literally takes you a second to react to things, then that's pretty bad. However, I very much doubt your reflexes are that bad. Well, I'm not one of them, but I wish you luck in your search. IGN: Ironmallet

" Well, you don't have to be Ziggy D to play PoE. You have to try to make it about anticipation rather than pure reflexes. Hell, I'm in my mid 20s and that's how I play for the most part. This isn't a First Person Shooter. IGN: Ironmallet

This is why I love the internet and video games. You never know if he guy you just traded/grinded with is a child or a grandfather or a dog.

Did you old folks play when you were younger. Or have you been playing for a while? If I would in theory play till i'm 60 (i'm 20 now) do you guys think I would lose that much of my reflex capability?

" Fast reflex (or real time) computer games didn't exist until about 20 years ago, so i doubt anyone has playing video game experience beyond that. PoE isn't a instant reflex game, so that part isn't so crucial. It is however, somewhat a grind. i don't think older folk can survive more than 1 hour staring at the screen, or more than 4 hours a day, unless it's a super large projector screen on the wall. The 20s crowd have a definite advantage here. A guild of (relative) oldies would be a welcome thing for that age group of players. For one thing the conversation would be WAAAAY more mature and polite (and slower, of course). |
