Cut-Throat League and Why we should not give up!

edit: now that i am done being a smart ass i thought i might add something that might be helpful. Its is my opinion GGG is saving cut throat for paid leagues since less face it, it wouldn't be a popular league so they probably don't really wanna pay for it.

I could see the league being more popular than Nemesis if done right. Everyone has played the Event and they seem too think that's all cut throat is and will be. It could be so much better with some fixes to the main problems people seem to have.

There are currently 4 leagues: Standard, HC, Dom, and Nemesis. Race doesn't equal league. *sigh* Lost IQ points explaining that to you.

Original intent does not = league either.

We do not need a cut throat league. As s paid league though would be fine. I think SFL will be a paid league also.

Why don't we need one again? I think it would be fun.

Further splintering play base. It already exists. If you want cut throat throw all your stuff down after being killed in PvP. Same concept as SFL. It already exists.

There will always be players wanting this type of gaming interaction. You can find them everyday.

All Cut-Throat on a more permanent basis will do is further alienate a specific segment of players. A new player makes it to mud flats, is Pk'd and looted by a group of mercs. Then wonders wtf is this shit. Logs into another league and moves on.

Literally in short order you will have nothing but hard-core griefers running in gangs. They have no desire to loot bodies to get items. They want to grief other players. This isn't PvP, it's stupid. Gangs sitting outside city of sarn waiting for some poor bastard to enter the instance.

Sounds like fun.......

But what if you made it appealing to not be a PKER on this type of league? What if you could have a title for being the defender of the noobs and be rewarded for your services.

Imagine seeing in trade chat $WTB Merc to kill off PKER. or in Global #Hey can anyone help me out there are PKers in City of Sarn.

You could also make it less desirable for a player to kill a low lvl player by making it so he looses experience or maybe he just can't loot that player because he is too low lvl.

Could put a small safety cap in this league as well. Any player that passes level 26 will now become vulnerable to open world pvp. Anyone below that threshhold can not be killed in any instance.

Just a few suggestions.


also a small edit here.

Guilds will become a lot more mandatory and a bigger part of the game in a league like this. This obviously is not a league for the solo player but more of a group league.
