after seeing D3 beta streams, I'm now convinced that...

seems that after 2005 all blizzard games are being ruined and turned into shit

However unbelievable it may seem, PoE is more "diablo" than the actual Blizzard Diablo 3.

I don't want to say that GGG "copypasted" RPG iconic game, no way.
I'm saying that guys took all good from the 11 y/o title and evolved that concept to a new level.

While original D3 mutated into some diablo-wow monstrosity.
WTF happened to inventory!? All items from knife to axe to bow are two "cells" large. Stupid numbers are displayed on damage/heal. Monsters are being "selected" on impact. Demon hunter runs on stud heels ( who else imagined the lol-lol-lolliness of a chick running on heels in the country road? )
Is it a Korean MMO?!

Many of us waited for d3 for many years now and it turned out that there is even a better game, much much better.

GGG, you can easily make your game 20-35$ title and i will buy it. And i wont be alone in this world, oh i wont...

Whachu say about Koreans..? We're gonna settle this like men. Fight to the death. Go logon to SC2 and I'll show you how Koreans roll. ^^
The main reason why D3 went for a bit different approach, is casual market which is probably biggest source of income for blizz.
As we all know casuals dont want hard experience, just play a bit of game few hours a day and get rewarded for that.
Blizz done the same thing with WoW. After Tbc(which is best expansion in my opinion) whole game went casual, with free epics for anything you do. And result was... player base increased even more.
Now they found a way to make money without any maintenance needed.
So its all about money, nothing else.

As I readed your post I got a cold chill down my spine. You guys are too scary when it comes to srs bsns as gaming
You can't really say that either one of the games is better by just watching Beta footage of both games, it's a Beta and it's unfinished, it's best to wait till both of the games are released and only then to make opinions which game is better, etc.
Also remember that Path of Exile is made by Indie game developers and Blizzard is a really big company with lots of funding and game developers.
Having had a sneak peak and play of D3 (a chance meeting allowed me little gameplay), I would have to say its not too bad....

I haven't gotten my key for PoE yet, so I can't quite make good comparison however....

I do like PoE's "darkness" and I like the fact that the skill tree is interesting and diverse. Until I can get into a game of PoE, however, I can only go on what I can see from pictures and posted youTube clips....

I really can't wait to get my hands on it and give it a whirl......

Yes, I agree this game looks more exciting at the moment. Im kind of disapointed with D3...

Same. I don't think it's going to live up to the hype.

Dont forget, Blizzard games ALWAYS live up to hype, and then some more...
Am I wrong? Example please?

D3 is faulty by default, for me. Real cash auction clearly shows the main emphasis being put not on gameplay, but on monetisation of gameplay.

Real cash auction DOES NOT show that.
It shows that we have a legit option to do something that was done using websites before and wasnt safe.
I never bought items for real money, and I will not. But I do like the option to SELL one if I want to.
THERE ARE GOING TO BE real money transfers one way or the other, so if real money auction is the reason you wont play D3, than you should not have played D2 either...

I am a big Diablo fan, I am becoming a HUGE PoE fan, but this weird fanboyism craping all over D3 because of something that has NOTHING to do with gameplay is really stupid.
You are not affected by other ppl`s equipment, since this is not MMO....

It's not.. Even when I play PoE, it has nice graphics and art..etc.. It just doesn't scream diablo at all. It don't have that Diablo feel. Not sure if it's good or bad..but TBH..I like PoE can stand on their own.

When I am watching Diablo 3 beta videos..I can't play it but hell, it's Diablo 2 feel all over again. I know people on this forum are saying things like "poe is true successor of Diablo 2".. but not at all.

Keep in mind it's good for PoE that it doesn't need to be successor of anything to be good game. That's why I respect GGG devs.

Did you red my post as whole? Seems not. I said that to me, PoE is an evolution of "D" concept not an evolution of the game, and D3 is a WoW'ish hybrid, not an evolution of the series. I began my journey with diablo in 1995/6 (don't remember when exactly). So you may call me old-schoolish if you wish.

Your posts informative value is lesser, than the hole inside a zero number. Being there is not a privilege, but an honor (so to speak).
And yes, those videos done by beta testers of both games are exactly what is needed to make your own opinion off the game.
Take a written example of review of a game-magazine. It's a bunch of words, sub-colored by the author of the review and his personal opinions, and yet many people just believe, that if review is bad = game is bad.
Informative value of the video and commentary of a streamer is worth much more than a bunch of words. And is even more, if you ask streamer to do smth. and he/she does it.

Oh, don't take it personal lad, if you did. I have nothing against koreans, and two of my best in-sc2-leage friends are koreans. It's just the visual style of the game, which resembles Korean MMO more, than diablo.
