I played D3 HC a lot, which is very nice experience.
ROS is going to post a big challenge to HC players based on what I'v seen on twitch. So far, ROS looks boring, even though it's 100 times better than the current version. Because two excellent builds from the current version are gone, and I don't see any new unique build so far. I don't see adding paragon points gain you any variety of play style except more numbers. Drops are ok. But it's still not surprising, merely increasing the number of the main stats. So called build-changing legendary is too rare. | |
i got 120 hours out of the game that i enjoyed while playing with my friends. thats a lot more then most other games manage. plus i have 50 something odd dollars on my blizz acount, so its free for me. not a huge wow or sc fan so might aswell buy that, the money already belongs to them so might aswell get something out for myself.
And yeah, id still play PoE depending on what mood i am. Like the build and skill system more in poe then d3, although d3 looks better and feels smother in combat. |

I will be playing RoS to check things out and get a Crusader leveled up. Nothing I have seen people streaming in the beta really changes the game for me to make me want to put in serious time.

Chaos will travel back in time if the Light Warriors don't defeat it.
And the future will repeat itself. Here since Closed Beta. Never found a Mirror. Still love PoE. :- )

" I think you are wrong here. Of course it does matter for Blizzard how many copies were sold. That's the only reason they are developing this game/expansion. The best thin Blizzard can hope for ist that they sell 4 Millions per 30$ each. After a month player base drops to 100.000 or less, voila, money earned, less server to pay for... The worst case is that all 4 million players continue to play the game every day. you have to pay for the servers, maybe support and that with no chance to earn anything again except the hope that the player base will buy expansion 2. POE on the other hand has a more MoT (money over time) strategy. Don't pay initally, but continously throw money on them. I for myself have donated (as I prefer to name the process) more money when I have ever paid for a single game before. Except maybe "Kingdom of Loathing" a browser game with a similar approach : donating money if you like it. Back to topic : POE will always attract players again. Just for the sake of "what did change ?" What is the new league, etc, etc. I sometimes feel the load of changes is overwhelming, but compaing to kingdom of loathing, it was the same effect : waiting for a big change : play like hell, have a break, oh the next content / change : play like hell again. Did this for 5 years and donated every month. I sure hope I play POE longer than that, but we will see... Just my 2 cents :) Last edited by Wackabi#2915 on Nov 20, 2013, 4:59:18 PM

Let's play a little game. If I was playing RoS then I would get a high DPS 2-hand while stacking as much of my primary stat, vitality, all resist, crit chance, crit damage, and increased attack speed as I could find on gear. What class am I?
