I'm not getting RoS cos it's made by Activision Blizzard who are total money grubbing cunts up there with EA.
Fuck Blizzard and fuck their products.
The only way they're getting my money is if I get to shove it up Kotick's ass.

However the drop rates are still skewered in PoE anyway.
Actually the trading is a hell of a lot worse in PoE rather than in D2. In D2 you were able to progress on self found much more easily than in D2, PoE has created an artificially insanely high gear check when you start getting to the end of merc3, and mathematically speaking, the drop rates are a hell of a lot lower in PoE than in D2, especially when you consider you have to look for so many more mods (like things with socks and links).
There are also a lot less money sinks in D2
PoE has turned into a trade simulator, like D3, accept it, and move on. If you think it shouldn't be a trade simulator, whine to the devs, and hope they actually do something about it instead of them living in denial
I don't like it I've done trading for a long ass time It's getting old =/ especially when you know the trader is trying to gouge your dick off ( Rip you off )

No wonder Blizzard can't do anything right when there's ARPG fans with split personalities
I never find any Upgrades
The new smart loot sucks
Ya Blizz can never win
I never find any upgrades in PoE either. Pretty much all entire endgame uniques are obtained via trading in PoE
but theres a HUGE difference. You will usually get something that has trade value. Hell you can at least farm enough lvl60+ rares for the Chaos recipe to buy upgrades. In Diablo the loot was coded to be horrible to force you to buy off the RMAH. There was no vendor recipe that gave 10 million gold for example.

Here's a stunning thought. Maybe it's not the same people expressing those two sentiments.

Diablo 3 loot was not coded to force you to buy from the REAL MONEY AH ... if you typed Gold AH i could understand but because you went to an extreme and said ".. forced to buy from the RMAH" i find it that you will fit right in on this forum comunity.
Welcomed aboard you passed the trial.

The devs do love to overdue the gear checks in PoE, and because of the low drop rates, that artificially inflates currency. That is true. Sadly, that promotes botting and third party website purchases. If it takes you 20 hours to grind up good gear, but you can buy that gear on a website for $10, why wouldn't you just spend $10? 20 hours is a long time. That time isn't particularly enjoyable, and if you're on nemisis, it's always a risk(some modded rares are extremely lethal, even many levels below you). Gear based games always open the potential for pay to win via third party. I know the devs want to appease the elitist gods by making insanely hard content, but that can shoot them in the foot if they aren't careful.

I played diablo 3 the first second it went live. I made it to Inferno during the first week. I wasnt the fastest but Im pretty sure I was faster than most people. Once I was in Inferno I hit a brick wall. I guess maybe I picked the wrong class by going Monk but I wanted to play something that was fun and that was the class I enjoyed. I spent hour after hour dying to even the most trivial mobs. It took 37 attempts to finally beat the Butcher to clear Act 1. When I got to Act 2 I died over and over again to something so ridiculous like the Wasps. At the same time Im watching people stream playing Demon Hunters and they are LoLing their way through Act 3 and 4 farming everything in sight with no effort. But my Monk just couldnt even come close to that. If I tried to group up it was even worse because only other Monks or Witchdoctors were joining public games so mob diffuclty went up making it impossible for our gimp ass classes.
I never made it through Act 2 until they released the RMAH and I was able to buy gear that could handle it. I never got anything of value to either equip, sell, or trade for something I could use. Also all the DHers with Acts 3 and 4 on farm were selling things for insane prices for even what would be terrible gear by today's standards. Or people exploiting resplendent chest respawns near waypoints or treasure goblins. So yes it was required to use the RMAH in order to play the game. Since I would have never beaten Act 2, let alone Acts 3 and 4 it was required. Also dont try and pull the L2play crap either. Everyone knows all the classes were broken at launch. Either you were terrible (Monk, Barb, WD) or OP (Wiz and DH).

You can still make money without being a sellout. Honestly as terrible as the launch of that game was and all of the broken shit, that still isnt fixed. They should give us the expansion for free.

I played Monk from the very beginning. I had absolutely no real problems with Inferno (I’ve never touched the RMAH). I did hate the wasps (seriously, fuck those things) and found Inferno to be a big step up in difficulty compared to previous modes, but found no “brick walls” at all. Monks like you who complained about the difficulty of Inferno invariably were doing something wrong. Without fail, you’d get into the profiles of these guys and find that they had more Str than Dex or no resists or a weapon with 600 dps.
God forbid you have to do a bit of research on your class or try out a few things to see what works. Hell, they actually tallied up your DPS for you and put it right there on your character sheet. All you had to do was to look at how much it changed when you put on a bunch of Dex and say to yourself, “Oh hey, look at that.” If all the bads who went to the forums and complained about how hard Inferno was spent that time on figuring out how to play, there wouldn’t have been an issue.
I liked the difficulty of pre-nerf inferno and was rather disappointed when they dumbed it down. This was at the same time WoW was getting casualized as well and the whole thing irked the hell out of me. Thank God MP was introduced not long after that.
On top of that, why exactly were you forced to use the RMAH? Was the GAH broken for you or something? The game was developed around the AH. To say that you were forced to use an AH is a correct statement. Claiming that you had to use the RMAH is just demonstrably false. The pre-nerf Inferno time period you speak of was also the same time period where they hadn’t yet cleaned up the “creative methods” for making gold. Plus, people were buying up even semi-decent gear like hotcakes. Turning a profit with very little playtime was just crazy easy.
Anyway, all that is to say that your assertion that the RMAH was in some way mandatory is just a load of bull. Blizzard wasn’t forcing you to use the RMAH. They simply overestimated your competency.
Further, even if we say that the RMAH was mandatory, Blizzard swiftly lowered the difficulty to “wear all blues if you want” and is now removing both AHs completely. So your theory really makes no sense at all.
