Ok, I'm being 100% serious here.
The mental acrobatics it must take to be "offended" at some life-like statues or some bare breasts on a mutated woman (tentacle creation), while completely glossing over the ox-carts full of dead bodies, the mutilated corpses hanging from walls, the various torture devices and everything else in Piety's Temple is just incomprehensible to me. The fact that you are uncomfortable with the bare breasts on the Tentacle Creation and not the fact that she was once human and is now a mutated abomination, tortured and twisted against her will by an insane woman with a dungeon full of mutilated corpses is quite honestly, more disturbing than anything the game has to offer. Nudity is the natural state of all people. We were all born naked. It is not disgusting or shameful or pornographic. I don't know what else to tell you.... but your grim fascination with nudity, when juxtaposed against the backdrop of a torture cellar is beyond baffling and quite honestly, more than a little disturbing. First off, nudity != pornography. To think this is absurd.
Second, I support this idea *IF AND ONLY IF* * All enemy models reference a simple textured cube, unique enemies reference a pyramid and bosses reference a sphere * All summon skills reference a simple textured cylinder (so as not to be confused with enemy cubes, pyramids and spheres) * All breakables reference a jar (no more hanging torsos or bone piles) * All environmental objects reference a chair (no more corpses or torture tables) * All levels use a simple, clean, well lit, blood-less tileset (no spooky caves or creepy crypts) * All bosses use the same square room using the above tileset (to keep development costs down) * All blood is disabled * All voice acting is disabled and NPC text is filtered. * UI overlay is disabled * Accounts gain a special forum title "Censored" * Accounts have the profanity filter permanently enabled, in game and on the forums * Forum background is changed to a clear, blue sky and PoE logo is bloodless * Once purchased, is always enabled on the account * Can be disabled by contacting support, but to re-enable would require re-purchasing * Costs 500 points, or more depending on what GGG determines the above development costs to be This removes the nudity, violence, profanity and anything else that can be considered "offensive" from the game in one fell swoop. |
