Anyone else hate the Imperial Gardens?

I dun like it.

Gardens suck, maze sucks.. the enemies are annoying, the maps are annoying.. I like the archives and library much better. In fact, I like the indoor maps overall much better in this game than the outdoor maps.

Though Act1 and Act2 I like more for outdoor. Act 3 to me is my least favorite. I do like Slums, but Marketplace is annoying. Battlefront is ok, docks is good, Ebony Barracks is alright..

Im all for difficulty, when its ramped up naturally. But you have to get to late act 2 merc before you hit difficulty like that again. It makes no sense.

Although I really enjoy killing very slow zombies, they never get my core pumping like the end of act III. Yes, the mobs are harder than ACt I in the next difficulty, but you have to study your enemy and adapt to them. My first encounter with Dominus for instance reminded me of AeroFighters (some old vertical shooting game), were the final boss seemed impossible to defeat. Until you recognized the pattern of his moves.

Anyway, prepare a skill for this zone specially, like Detonate Death or DOminating Blow. Also, roll some flask with 66% armor while active, or 30% movement speed while under the effect. Big fan of flask ;)

The only annoying thing for me is the maze, always hating that, since Kurast sewers in D2

Edit: maybe that's why most of the creatures in IG resist cold for some reason. They all get shattered anyway.

Merciless Gardens + Maze is where I've been grinding my marauder.

Some zone has to be the least favorite of the average player and that's probably this one just because it's so big, a maze and has those goddamn statue mobs, an awful combination.
Solaris temple used to be my least favorite but this one is coming close.

yeah man I totally agree, Imperial Gardens suck along with a lot of act 3

gardens is the nicest looking tileset int he game. those porkies are also great for proccing codt.

I wouldn't mind having statues if they gave higher XP. I haven't noticed they are worth killing. Anyone else noticed if they give higher xp?
