good idead .. maybe we should put other orbs in the shop too
chaos orb 4€ ... exalted orb 10€ or whatever O_o
or i have a much better idea ... we put an auction house in the game where you can purchase items from other players for money .. so you just buy your orbs of regret there
no seriously .. dont know if you dont know it .. but you already CAN respec in the game ... its just expensive if you fucked up completly
Players are buying orbs online anyhow. Apparently its a big business considering how expensive some items are and players are buying (some selling) like they are few ex and not 100+ Wouldnt it be better instead of online sellers making profit illegally let ggg make it legally?
Just checked while writing this post regret goes for 30c us so 10$ for 30 regrets or even cheaper 4$ ex = 15 regrets in game. So tell me now who is truly loser here? IMO only GGG and players.

Wow.. uhh, I was just checking one last time for lolz about the "man up" thing, but here i find a serious supportive post.
I have to disagree with orbs for money being legal though, that would DEFINITELY make this game p2w.
I also still disagree that paying money for a respec (even if it only available one time per character.. making it just a one time "oops i hate this build" fixer) would ruin the game as yall say it would.
Guess I will keep tabs on this thread a little while longer :)

Huh, no idea how that happened... double posted for some reason.
Oh wellz, get over it :P
More like you get over the fact that there will be no full respecs

i have written this exact same explanation on the subject about 4 times now, but here we go again:
imagine there is a build A that rapes end game content. the leveling process of this build is very tedious and it doesnt start to shine until late 70s early 80s.
imagine there is a leveling build B that basically rapes everything until lvl 70
imagine you could level as build B, then pay real money to swap to build A, effectively circumventing the one big downside of build A by paying real money.
= pay to win

In that case imo it is the build A and build B that are the problem... not the ability to respec between them.

What? You are saying this game is not pay to win? You serious? lol I wonder what all those online orb/item sellers are for then?

not having respecs readily available is one of the core aspects of this game. the game is basically designed for people who LIKES to blast through the same content with different builds. this becomes even more apparent from a hardcore perspective, where the no respec design makes every playthrough different from another. the journey is more important than the destination, taking that character safely to your end game build is what the game is really about.
by removing this aspect you will effectively reduce the livespan of this game a lot. the target audience, who likes rolling new characters would feel that its useless to roll new characters, because they can simply respec one of their old.
this was very obvious in d2, when they in 1.13 introduced respecs. i used to get really juiced about making new characters to try fucked up builds. but after this patch it simply felt meaningless, and i played less and less.
^ Nailed it.

If you can create a build in any mmo that completely facerolls the game whether on the high end or low end of the game it is imbalanced and needs to be addressed.
Granted there are good builds and bad builds.. but if a one time respec kills a game in that manner the problem is that they allowed OP builds to faceroll content.
