Plea to devs to address the sexism

Nudity, whether symbolic, artistic, or applicable is ALWAYS offensive, inappropriate, and sexist. No one should ever see someone else naked. Artists should censor their work. The nude female form, and the nude male form is nothing but smut. Baccio Bandinelli should be ashamed for sculpting Hercules naked.

Anyone who argues is obviously a child or a pervert. It is impossible they would argue for artistic freedom, and maturity in the face of those who would say ' I can see her bewbs ' or ' look the statues have wangs ' . Censor it all. Maybe what is depicted in the game doesn't fall into fancy dictionary definitions of sexist, but it still is. Women should be offended because women are nude. Men should be offended because men are nude. Don't think about it, just speak out against it!

The topic is basically "games that were very exciting, but so off-putting from the sexism that you had to stop." POE is the most upvoted.

To add my own 2 cents, I really like POE, and I'd love to play it with my wife. She's tried, but being FORCED to look at 2 sexualized slave girls chained to her health and mana bar makes her feel uncomfortable. I can't blame her. Is this necessary? Could there not be an option for an alternate UI for people who are uncomfortable with the girls? It would be a very small thing, and it would be a clear message from the devs saying "Yes women, we care about you too, and want your business."

I shudder to think of the money we've spent on LoL, so I sincerely doubt it would be any different for PoE. It is obvious from this thread my wife and I are not the exception. Why say no to more people wanting to spend money on this game?

Kind words are really not enough at this point. "We don't mean any offense, this is just style, it's OK" will not bring women and couples back. Only action, and obvious action specifically aimed at rectifying some of the wrongs, will even have a chance at bringing people like us back to this game.

I am feeling like the South Park children Kyle and Stan who were so innocent that they couldn't even imagine that a picture portraying some white people hanging a black man to describe racism; they instead thought people got upset because "killing is wrong".

This is so true.

Nonetheless, if I imagine young naked male slaves chained to the globes I must say I wouldn't want them to be there. If at the start of the game I had the option of picking either male or female slaves chained to the globes I would pick female slaves without a second thought.

I desperately want GGG to do this for April Fool's, just to see how people react.
