Plea to devs to address the sexism
To all 34 pages of whiny, over-privileged boys responding to this post:
Shine on, you crazy diamonds. Don't ever gain the ability to see someone else's viewpoint. Private to OP: If you were just trolling the inevitable horde of teenaged boys and emotionally stunted men you knew would respond to this, well done :-) |

" You caught me. Seriously though, being able to see someone's point of view doesn't mean you need to agree. The easily offended are always going to find something that upsets them. Replace the women on the globes and they'll "discover" something else in the game that "offends" them. This is not a game for the faint of heart. :/ "It's a harsh, difficult world. You have to be prepared for it. We're not babying the players."

" Oh, yes, you are SUPER hardcore because you play this game... when I think of a 16 year old sitting alone in his room playing a video game, I think "That man is NOT faint of heart." If you play this game because of how badass it makes you feel to call monsters "titty bitches" and because "hey, man, there's this board with just bodies, like, all over the place, it's so real"... well, like I said, shine on, you crazy diamond. I like your quotes - they'll "discover" something that "offends" them. Those quotation marks are great - they make it perfectly clear that you're responding to your own prejudices, not anything you actually read. So while you're absolutely right - seeing someone else's point of view does NOT mean you need to agree - it's clear you have no idea what that the OP's point of view actually is. Don't worry, you're in 35 pages and counting of good company. (Another example - I see your point of view. I don't agree with it - in fact, I choose to make fun of you for it.) In this case, the OP was up front and reasonable, and certainly not talking about "offending" his wife. He was making it clear that the game's designers may want to rethink some of their theming - because while it's certainly very non-offensive to the pubescent boys who make up their rabid fanbase, it's not quite as attractive to the people who are actually capable of pulling out a credit card and dropping cash into the game. @simnel
If GGG spent their time adjusting their game based on individual minority requests regarding aesthetics, they would never get to actually developing the game The content is not, in context. offensive. Complaining about something like this is like the equivalent of complaining about blood in war movie PoE is designed to be dark, gruesome with lack of morals and ethics, that is its context. If the OP doesn't like it, then he shouldn't play it, its simple Last edited by deteego#6606 on Dec 9, 2013, 8:46:07 PM

@simnel: I'm glad you ate up those quotations, but you could be civil about it, you don't want to offend anyone. :p

" Like your comrade Wulfenstein, you should really actually READ the original post, rather than just reacting to what you think it said. Also, you should probably get some less silly opinions... but that's just my minority opinion. |

" I did read the original post, my point still stands I know people that find war films uncomfortable because of their violence, but I am not going to go around sending letters to film directors asking them to remove that violence, am I? Last edited by deteego#6606 on Dec 9, 2013, 9:40:34 PM
