POLL!!! Do you use curse on hit?

I'm currently building my char around a cyclone+curse on hit combo. And it's doing fairly well right now (still on cruel though.)

Currently what I have are these two loadouts.




Although I will move them to one cyclone if i ever get a 6l

Are you using Whispers of doom passive, windscream, and 2 doedre's?
i think you supposed to link it with mobility skills
such as :
whirling blade
leap slam
lightning warp

because when they first anounced it i was like oh yeah this will be nice
but when i realized they've been moron enough to make it "must be linked to the attack" i was lol screw you, especially since its not even 100% chance for a 2 link waste...


Ive looked into it but still the % to land a curse is so low that I prefer increasing the chaos dmg and other things much before wasting 2 slots for 1/3rd of the time curse lol.

maybe if it was %50 to 75% but even then

I link it to Frenzy. It's cheaper than constantly re-casting the curse and it cuts one stage of hotkey and cast time use out of my single-target attack.
Expected nerfs:
- Spectral Throw [done]
- Scion Nodes [done]
- Scion dialogue [ggg plz]
anything you can do with 'curse on hit' you can do 10 times better with CoDT

there are 3 main issues with curse on hit:
- % chance
- non AOE. that is - only hit mobs are cursed, it does not curse mobs in the area
- linked with main attack eating TWO+ sockets

it has any use only with Vulnerability + Viper strike. but that combo is hardly viable in maps due to flat scaling and if someone is going for it Empower is a MUCH better use of link that CoH+Curse

casting curses is hardly an issue anyway
No. I've got a few of these gems, and I've been trying to find a scenario in which it would be useful, but I just can't. With the exception of CwDT (which is absolutely amazing and will be needed to hell), I think all of the trigger gems pretty much suck.

I might if it worked with traps but it doesn't.
i was planning on using it because it had 0 mana cost, but this is pure garbage, i have mele splash and multi strike, if i hit 5 targets, only 1 sometimes 2 of them actually get cursed.

I decided to change curse on hit for cast on crit, and its funny that if you crit, you actually pop the whole skill, the big aoe circle that the curse cause, cursing everything at its path.

to make it decent they should iether change it to 100% chance to curse on hit, with no diminish chances like the ones im getting with mele splash and multistrike, (1 cursed enemy out of 5 enemies getting hit is definetly not 80%).

or they should make the curse acts like an aoe circle whenever you trigger it as it is with cast on crit.

I know everyone want it to be independent, and just link curse+curse on hit, and everything you do will cause the curse. but
a.support skills in this game don´t work that way
b. the chances would have to be reduced to 20% ish tops for it not being OP or a must have gem in every single build

I will, as soon as the 4 month leagues end. This poll makes no sense though, with melee its natural to use curse on hit with something like warlords mark(leech curse?).
