FPS drops with AMD cards

I'm running a HD7970 with an i5 3570k and I drop in groups to 5 fps or less most of the time.
My SSD is defraged, I tried "--nosound" and "--softwareaudio" and my drivers are up to date. It is quite funny how most people try to argue with "your rig sucks" and/or "update your drivers" and they will not believe that the game could be optimized badly in any way.
I enjoy the game, having so much fun that I reached #10 in nemesis with lvl82 some days ago but all these issues concerning FPS drops and its freezes are destroying the whole Game -> You are not able to group because its too dangerous and playing alone is not as much fun as playing with friends and sometimes even though I am playing alone my FPS will drop every now and then quite badly.

All in all I want to know if there will be any fixes/optimizations or something like that in near future.

P.S : The best thing that can happen in POE is Soul Conduit. My Game will freeze for about 2seconds which is quite alot especially when you are standing next to the Soul Conduit rare and dozens corpses around it.
P.S 1.01 : I googled alot and tried to find possible solutions which led to nothing but people flaming each other.

They do not. I have noticed similar issues. Not as much of a beast of a machine as yours (i5-2400, hd 6950), but yeah: it feels odd. Have you tried turning off Vsync to give yourself more of a "buffer" for lagspikes to see if it helps? I've noticed that with Vsync off I'll be running at 120+ FPS most of the time and if it does drop it tends to not drop below 70.

Same problem here, running a HD 7950 and a Phenom II 1090T.

While my CPU is a lot worse than yours it still makes no sense, the game ran fine like 2 weeks ago, or a few days after Steam launch actually.

I tried quite alot things to fix it like: Vsync on/off - highest settings - lowest settings - even texture quality 5 (lol game looks worse than a Shabby jerkin with quality set to 5) - tried Third Party software like Radeon Pro and shit but nothing could help me in the end <.<
Eventually my fps will drop far below 30fps and you can only hardly move your Char or do anything at all.
