Strange. May not be available by default. Anyway, I've written a quick program to do what's required.
Download here: laserblue.org/poe.exe and again post the results. EDIT: Note that the task is complete once the result of the connection test is done. "The problem is there ARE secure netcodes" -- Pewzor Last edited by Emjayen#1133 on Nov 2, 2013, 9:50:47 PM

thanks - I am bit leery about running executables off random sites though, no offense. I am on Windows 7 if that helps.
I suspect it is some basic setting in my router which is messing it up - but I have checked everything and cant find it. Guess I will make a post in ALL CAPS with "WTF GGG" etc in subject - seems such posts get prompt attention here :-P Last edited by MildlyClever#2548 on Nov 3, 2013, 2:08:31 AM

" That's a good policy to have. You can run it through www.virustotal.com if that would ease your mind (although even that wont detect zero-day threats) -- The problem (and similar) you're having is being experienced by many players at the moment and the root cause has yet to be identified. Anyway, if you're running Windows 7 then you'll need to enable telnet via your Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off and enable Telnet Client "The problem is there ARE secure netcodes" -- Pewzor Last edited by Emjayen#1133 on Nov 3, 2013, 7:03:48 AM

Thanks - enabled Telnet and here is the output: Guess the ports are closed or something? I am able to ping that IP though, if that helps.

It would seem something is indeed blocking your connection.
Do you have any anti-virus/firewall software? And have you made any exceptions for PoE within them in the past? Also, what is the make/model of your router? (You can typically find this printed on the underside of the router) "The problem is there ARE secure netcodes" -- Pewzor Last edited by Emjayen#1133 on Nov 3, 2013, 7:37:24 PM
