Patch Not Applying (Steam)

Same here. I keep getting an error saying "There has been a patch that you need to update to. Restart Path of Exile". After I restart it starts downloading the patch. When it finishes I log in again and get the same error every time. I verified the files, reinstalled PoE, restarted Steam - nothing:( I'll try again in a few hours. If it's still the same I'm uninstalling and not using Steam version again.

Restarted steam and patch started downloading. It says "Downloaded 10.1 MB / 10.1 MB" but the little progress bar to the left of that is moving very slowly... long 10mb patching process.

Doing this worked, btw.

Same issue, did both restarting and verifying local content: didn't work. Everyday a different problem outside game.

I simply waited for the progress bar to finish..

Verifying cache and restarting never worked for me. I finally got it working by just being patient. I clicked "Play", let it run through the fake patching, then just WAITED. Eventually the Steam download popped up on the bottom and it downloaded the 10mb patch.

Just tried re-installing it did nothing don't waste your time.

Have had the same problem the last 2 patches. The one before i deleted the game and reinstalled it and it worked, Trying the Verify restart combo now as i realy dont want to reinstall again.

Hopefully they get it sorted out soon already lost a friend that didnt want to bother with this crap and just deleted the game and went to play something else =(

The log in screen says I have version 1.0.0e, but I am still getting the error "there has been a patch that you need to update to."

Is that not the latest version?

I have tried every suggestion in this thread and the game still does not run.

It works after reinstalling the game but now my lunch break is gone forever.

That's how it worked for me. Do not click 'Launch when ready', just wait. The progress bar will complete, then start over. When THAT one is done, it actually applied the patch.
