Patch Not Applying (Steam)

I've patched 5 times now, when trying to log in it says
"There has been a patch to PoE, please exit and update) As I said I've restarted the game 4 or 5 times now. It appears that the patch wont stick Any suggestions? Anyone having a similar issue? (Apologies if this is in the wrong forum) EDIT: Few people have fixed it by trying one or both of these things: 1) Restart steam 2) Verify the cache -> Right Click -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Last edited by Neeshbag#3656 on Oct 30, 2013, 7:16:44 AM

Did you tried 'Verify Integrity Of Game Cache' under Properties -> Local Files?

Having the same issue. Have tried verifying; as well as re-copying the game files, but steam seems to have an issue with seeing the re-copied files, since it's on a HDD that isn't the same as the main steam installation.
Am currently re-downloading the game. Will edit with an update, when it's finished. EDIT: Re-downloading the game from scratch has fixed the problem for me. Last edited by Jurba#6533 on Oct 30, 2013, 6:27:18 AM

Another user has posted that restarting Steam fixed this issue for them, could you please try this and let me know how it goes for you?

Restarting steam didn't work for me. It shows patching every time, but after launch still shows patch d version.

I had the same problem, tried a couple of times to restart steam and patch again, but this worked fine for me.

After having it fail to update three times, restarted steam, updated again and bingo! Now able to wander around beating up monkeys and setting fire to spiders again.
