PoE is unplayable from Greece and Italy since it was released due to lag and disconnects.

Hi, I'm from Italy (Telecom Italia) and i have same issues with random disconnections. PoE is just unplayable most the time, and it's playable (less issues, but never perfectly) in the morning.

Drakier it's time to stop posting. This is GGG's fault. They need to talk with Softlayer so this issue can be fixed. Stop being a fanboy. It doesn't help GGG.

How can you say that when all evidence is pointing otherwise? (IE: read the post above yours).

I'm not being a fanboy here. I have a bit of experience in this realm, and as pointed out, the problem is clearly with seabone in these cases.

Not EVERY disconnect or lag problem is the same. But if your trace shows you going through those seabone nodes and getting packet loss, then your issue isn't with GGG but with seabone (as previously stated).

You don't have to believe me or agree with me... but I'm right.

Look at my previous posts. Of course the problem is at seabone. But the only way to fix this is if GGG as a company talks with them. They don't give a fuck about individual users.

GGG then have to say goodbye to all italian gamers with Telecom Italia (a lot of people).

Still thanks Drakier, however most people contacting the service (Telecom Italia) get no answer, solution or explaination. It would be lovely if GGG try to show up at phone with them.

Unfortunately this could happen, but it's important to keep up with it. We give them real money, we expect real service ;)

Also, having users from 2 different countries reporting the exact same issue can't go unnoticed. Let's give a call to our provider with a detailed report (check my previous post) it won't take more than 10 minutes ;)

Also, having GGG or softlayer.com voicing this with TI Sparkle would really help our cause ;)

Bye

If you KNOW the problem is at seabone, then how can you say it is "GGG's fault"?

That's like me saying that because the road is closed, it's the grocery stores fault. That's just absurd.

I can't help it that your ISPs don't care about their users. I'm sure they don't care about GGG either if that were the case. GGG doesn't pay them money... you do.

It's not my ISP. I'm in Greece. The PoE server is in Holland. To get from Greece to Holland you have to go through Italy. The problem is in Italy. The Italian ISP doesn't give a fuck about individual users. The Italian ISP DOES give a fuck if the Dutch hosting company complains. The Dutch hosting company DOES give a fuck if GGG complains. So there is a solution. The players complain to GGG which complains to Softlayer (Dutch hosting company) which then complains to Telecom Italia (Italian ISP) = Problem fixed.
A find a "Workaround", using the Australian gateway you will not go thru this broken seabone, you will have 400 ping but no spikes, no disconnection, no warps and you've almost no problem even with 400 ping.
Early to bed, early to rise, fishing all day, making up lies.

Good luck with that. They don't give a fuck period.

Yeah. I suggest trying the Singapore server too. I get 500 ping on the australian server but "only" 400 on singapore.

Drakier, if you knew Italian ISPs situation you wouldn't keep saying stuff like that. There are no real competitors ISPs outside big cities or far from backbone, people willing to spend time and money changing ISP because of this problem may end up using the same lines of Telecom Italia, rented to another company, especially because they're no network experts.
This could not be GGG fault but it must feel strange to have to mess with such technical details just to play a videogame, especially when not everybody is a computer engineer and when other games don't give so many problems.
