PoE is unplayable from Greece and Italy since it was released due to lag and disconnects.
" I see your point into the discussion you suggested to look up and I see also that there isnt a workaround to exploit this but this problem is still with POE only that may be unlucky to fall into this route for us and so I'm not blaming them for having this problem at all but they havent a way of fixing this? Changing something into the nodes so we havent to adress to this milano.seabone? Early to bed, early to rise, fishing all day, making up lies.

" I'm not sure I understand what you're saying/asking. Are you suggesting that PoE has some way to change the routing through your network? That's like suggesting that your grocery store is in some way responsible for the road construction on your street. |

" I'm suggesting to move somehow near the library. Early to bed, early to rise, fishing all day, making up lies.

" GGG isn't going to pick up and move their data center to get around a marginally small problem. You can try a VPN to work around the problem until the problem is resolved. Unfortunately, that's the nature of the internet. Also, you can try to use the US gateway rather than the EU gateway and see if you get better results. |
|
" Same with US Gateway but ofc starting with an higher base ping. I've seen the vpn post but the replies are mostly about other problems and more issues coming out. Early to bed, early to rise, fishing all day, making up lies.

" VPNs are a hit or miss kind of thing. Some work better than others. Paid VPNs work better than free VPNs (for obvious reasons). But they're bound to the same network routing problems as everything else. The only thing a VPN accomplishes is the potential to re-route your information around a known trouble spot. But that takes a lot of trial and error as I said in the other thread. You have to first locate a stable VPN that doesn't go through the bad section to get TO the VPN, then you have to ensure that the VPN connection itself doesn't travel through the bad section to get to the game servers. Short of that, there's nothing else I'm aware of that will fix your problem other than the ISP or carrier resolving the issue with their equipment. |

To all the users having this problem, I made a detailed answer in this thread
I can assure you it's NOT GGG's fault for the packet loss problem. They may have other issues with instances crashes and rollbacks, but that's another topic entirely which doesn't relate to what we are actually experiencing here. The problem is a defecting node that is in the route for PoE EU and US servers. I spent quite some time on this issue in the last 2 weeks (i work as the network admin in my company, and even if it's not the same on a retail connection, with a bit of effort you can trace problems like this) and I got around it using a VPN to one of my servers. If you have the chance, set up something similar with a VPN provider while the problem persists. To prove that this mess is not GGG related, go to pingtest.net and select the Copenhagen server. Remember to turn up Packet Loss check (needs Java) and you'll see for yourself. The route to that server (at least from Italy) gets through the same broken node and it's in no way related to PoE or softlayer.com The only thing we can do is to call our providers for tech support giving them those IPs to check and telling that other users will be reporting the same issue: 37.58.67.210 -- eu.login.pathofexile.com 109.202.133.154 it's the zensystems.dk server hosting pingtest.net in Denmark This will keep pressure on Telecom Italia Sparkle, owner of seabone.net, and hopefully speed things up. " Drakier it's time to stop posting. This is GGG's fault. They need to talk with Softlayer so this issue can be fixed. Stop being a fanboy. It doesn't help GGG. |

Still thanks Drakier, however most people contacting the service (Telecom Italia) get no answer, solution or explaination. It would be lovely if GGG try to show up at phone with them.

" How can you say that when all evidence is pointing otherwise? (IE: read the post above yours). I'm not being a fanboy here. I have a bit of experience in this realm, and as pointed out, the problem is clearly with seabone in these cases. Not EVERY disconnect or lag problem is the same. But if your trace shows you going through those seabone nodes and getting packet loss, then your issue isn't with GGG but with seabone (as previously stated). You don't have to believe me or agree with me... but I'm right. |
