I would argue that the witch is the perfect example of a non-sexualized character. Gaunt, red knees, austere glare, flat chest. That's the reason why she's one of my favorite ARPG characters. She's a character with ACTUAL character, not just shoehorned sex appeal. Sure, someone might think she's hot, but she wasn't made to be that way. I can't help but agree with reboticon. I was pleasantly surprised by how underwhelming the Scion model looks in-game. I was expecting like a SHINING PARAGON OF JUSTICE type of thing, but instead I got someone with a reasonable chest size, and ragged-enough clothes. As for reboticon's second point, I think you misunderstand. Not EVERY player of ARPGs is as intellectual as you (and me?), but GGG gotta do what it gotta do, which means raking in more players/money, which means doing the thing which appeals to the masses, which is to create/post sexy fanart of their characters. Just grit your teeth and bear it as a necessary step for moving the development of the game forward, quicker. EDIT: What I personally can't bear (okay, just kidding, I'm actually amused by it, and it reminds me of how people can get mad at me when I wall-of-text) is the stuck up lines she gives all the time. It's like, who died and made you Grand Princess of the Universe eh? Every time I hear her say something I'm like "OH MY GOD SHUT UP." But honestly it's all in good fun, and upon thinking about it, I don't think I would want GGG to remove them. It bothers me personally in a perhaps light and fun way, but I wouldn't want to spoil the experience of others for my own benefit. Need game info? I'm sure you are right. In all honesty, I haven't seen her model in game yet because I promised the Mrs. I wouldn't start playing yet until we were both off of work. And when all is said and done, POE's small nod to sex appeal is pretty trivial when you compare it to something like Tera Online or LoL. I guess if it means that it helps sell a few more copies and keep the game going for a few more years, it's obviously worth dealing with. I do wonder, though, if in some instances, injecting sex appeal for men into a game without any reason actually might encumber sales. I agree! The Scion was obviously made to attract more people to the game at the expense of breaking the overall atmosphere. But really, it doesn't matter that much to me because PoE has so much more to offer that it's actually no huge deal. Also, as it's been said already, the ingame character is much less sexualized, and once people get some gear that covers most of the body the Scion it does not look that flashy anymore. So yeah it sucks, but no big deal. Also since PoE is free 2 play I am not concerned that things will get worse in this respect. It's not like they would sell their core identity and key values to get moar cash like other companies in the gaming industry (Yes, by that I mean Blizzard).
