Wow guys, take a break already. As i read from topics i would agree with fireskull. I think he wants to say that ressource system in d3 is bad because you don't get to use them like you used mana in d2.
The only character with the same "gameplay" should be WD because it has mana. But is the only character i don't like because of the way it looks (personal opinion). Fury Well is similar to the warrior rage in WOW. This turned the barbarian into a WOW warrior. You don't need any brain to use this system, it is there only to limit your dps/ use of skills. If you want to play barbarian in a smart way you will use skills with cooldown and only one spender. Also fury gets better with the talent that doesn't degenerate it. The fact that you lose it in time turns you into a no brain killing machine. Hatred/Discipline The most inventive system in D3 and the only new system that is as cool as mana users. The most important thing that you have a lot of these ressource to finish a normal encounter. And then you will regenerate by time the ressource. Spirit This could be the same as mana but it isn't. You need a lot regen per second (10 at least) or 2 spirit generators to play with monk. In other ways you will just spam click to kill everything (like in most monk builds). Arcane Power It regen fast but it gets consumed faster. You can only spam 3 meteors maximum at a time and will deplete all. At high difficulty levels you will want mana back. This ruined wizard (from the d2 sorc). |

Combat is the thing you do when you play, so focusing on it seems like a pretty damn good idea if you ask me. Just look at the amount of complaints PoE have gotten for this.
