Now that Diablo 3 is dead, will POE deliver?
" No, it's not a stupid question. It's a question that you need to be stupid not to easily answer. You are claiming that you can't be a real ARPG/diablo fan if you like D3. But you need to understand that not everyone is a narrowminded fanboy like you. I agree, if you are a narrowminded fanboy then you can't be a real ARPG/Diablo fan and like D3 at the same time. Huge biases and blind hate are childish and stupid. Is that what we are talking about here? I assumed that Fire was like myself and wanted to love D3 as much as myself. I hyped it in forums, I imagined how great it would be. I enjoyed the game for awhile for sure. During my first play through I had fun melting the mobs and playing with the skills that I wanted to use. At this point I didn't have a lot of issues with the game. I had some concerns that I hoped would go away once I had put more time into the game. After grinding inferno for awhile I started to get really bored. My plan all along was to play the game for a very very long time. I figured I would stay interested at least as long as I did for Diablo 1 and 2. I planned on playing every class all of the way through the game until I couldn't make them any better. However the game became stale for my first class (wizard) and then I surprisingly had little to no desire at all to play the other classes, I knew that I would use the same cookie cutter builds that everyone else was using in order to survive inferno. It really bothered me that the game fell so hard in so many areas that I expected to be great. And then when I played POE and saw what I was missing from D3 is just annoyed me more that D3 was so messed up.
My point is that my hate for D3 has nothing to do with blind hate and bias. I played the game plenty and I am vastly disappointed. In my eyes Blizzard took a giant dump on my favorite franchise. Theres nothing blind about it. Standard Forever

Why is this all of a sudden such a hot topic???
One game is in closed beta and the other is a full retail release. It may have its charms but not in terms of following a storied franchise. Still this is old news, why are we still waging this war?
