Lets bump PoE on Metacritic

All these butthurt scrubs, too funny. Strange how most kids don't even have a real reason for not liking the patch. The only bad thing about it so far is BM got fucked in the ass with auras. Otherwise it's fine.

Blizzard's solution to the problem was to limit the rate at which you could respawn instances. Is Diablo 2 not an ARPG because of this?

Wrong. Blizzard introduced Queue,Realm Down in D2 or an Inputlimit in D3 because of BOTTING. Not playing.

Are you sure that botting is the sole reason for the game restrictions in D2? The restrictions were clearly added to punish gameplay that relied on rapidly hopping from game to game. There was absolutely nothing forcing bots to spend a short time in each individual game.

Bots were simply doing the same thing that players were doing; very fast magic find runs. So what makes you think the change was directed solely at bots and not the gameplay style itself? Keep in mind that realm down in D2 was added before warden was added to the game, which forced less sophisticates bots to exit the game in under 45 seconds. Your argument would hold more water if they added the realm down restrictions after warden was put in place. Additionally, no bans were issued to players (or bots) that tried to create too many games within a certain period of time.

Furthermore, even if the restrictions were solely designed to hurt botting, an important question remains. Under your definition of an ARPG, why would Blizzard even bother to try to slow down bots? To preserve the economic integrity of the game? Isn't that the exact same reason that GGG would move a waypoint away from a unique monster?
If I was rating PoE, I'd give it a 9/10. 10/10 needs to be a rating which is deeply revered and respected; there are some years where the entire industry doesn't release a single game which I consider to be 10/10 material. I love PoE, but it isn't quite as perfect a gaming experience — relative to time of release — as, say, Portal (1).

I wouldn't have given Diablo 1 a 10/10, either.

From what I've read of this thread — before I got nauseous — it seems like a bunch of people are being immature internet children and wanting to give something a vote of 10 or a vote of 1 just because of their personal biases towards wanting to see the game succeed or fail, and no one is actually considering the thing that is most important: giving a competent, thorough, unbiased review of the game. If you can't do that, please, stay the fuck off of Metacritic.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

I don't understand this vengeful thinking people... give a game 1/10 because YOU don't like the current balance. Balance changes constantly... so just play other chars for a few days/weeks and come back to that char when it changes.

Blizz changed balance in D2 quite a lot too, but now balance can shift much faster (which is a good thing). Or are you too lazy to figure out a new build or what?

Anyway, I still wouldn't give it a 10. Imho its between 7 and 8 since it needs more polish + netcode will never get fixed. Also game IS a bit of a niche product. Its not like D3 or latest Simcity (to get money from masses).

A 1? That is malicious voting and I cannot approve of it. This game is a decent title still, despite a few quirks.

So many whining babies crying for stupid reasons lol.

Wawaaaaaa my op broken BETA build is getting BALANCED. Can't roflstomp all maps now.

Wawaaaaaa they made legacy items in the dumpster league and I can't be as rich as others in the most stale and meaningless market in the game.

Grow up or go play something better. Oh wait.....

"PoE is trash 1/10 because the game changed and my build got nerfed"

Most people here are intelligent enough to know why these opinions are objectively worthless, it's a shame this whining vocal minority creates such a poor image for the community.
I'd rather continue my practice of never visiting metacritic or allowing it to have any weight in my life.

Well, sorry to hear the critism from some people and their clear instant-dislike towards changes made upon release.

I think it's safe to say that over the coming weeks and months, there will be a buttload of changes and amendments to all-things-PoE.

Some changes are really really cool and some have raised a few eyebrows.

Personally, I'm a solo player 95% of the time and the aura's change is going to be interesting to follow as I can't stack loads anymore... but tbh, perhaps its for the best. Firstly, its not fun having to build multiple aura's into a build every single time I want to do anything above Cruel. Secondly, everything from the item stats to the currency drops seem to have been tweaked. The need for multiple aura's may have deminished substantially.

What a great game and it really feels nice to slay....

8/10
Just for try for see and for know -2013!

Actually metacritic is a really accurate way to look up a game, as long as you focus on the USER review score and reviews and not the CRITIC scores.

Nah I don't agree, butthurt internet heroes like to exaggerate a lot on metacritic. Or is D3 really a 3,8/10? If I try to rate it objectively I'd give it a 6/10, maybe even 7... 3,8 just reeks of butthurt.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
