That's my problem. They didn't removed it... They forced you to group play with this IIR.

IIQ is generally considered better than IIR. They removed IIQ and added an equal amount of IIR. Additionally, all monsters got their HP buffed in party play. Parties got nerfed, if anything.

So basicly we're looking at the D3 game development pattern here ?

OP will be playing PoE again in a week (if not tomorrow).

Nothing to see here, please ignore.

100% agree with that.
Mirror of Kalandra?
Such butt-hurt, lol.

GGG has a vision of their game, they're making it the way they want to, with no regard for the stupid-ass forum complaints.

If you'd like to experience a game where the devs listen to every stupid fucking thing the forums whine about - and subsequently screw up their game's balance - Planetside 2 is that way ---->.

Trying to reason with these people is pointless. They don't give a shit about clear vision and strong design plans. GGG not implementing their "ideas" is apparently an affront to capitalism.

Said like 10 times at least that this is not a quit thread. But thanks for repeating me.
Compete and solo don't go together. There is no competition. Unless you are I cutthroat or another similar league.

I like how people don't understand just how badly groups were hurt by the nerf to the group item quantity bonus.

When a 250% mf guy gets a kill, he gets a (1+250/100)=3.5 multiplier to his loot.
Now a second guy joins. Previously, the buddies were getting a (1+0.5)*(1+250/100)= 5.25 to their loot. With 1.0's change, they'll be getting... a (1+0.1)*(1+290/100)= 4.29 multiplier to their loot.

So, 3.5 split one way vs 4.29 split two ways. Previously, this was 3.5 one way vs 5.25 two ways. And yet, no ability to comprehend the positive change. Welp.

Except decent groups will still have a much higher clear speed, which you totally did not factor in that those numbers.

If a group kills say, twice as many monsters... How does loot work out then?

I mean, I argue against a lot of people in this thread and I dont even think the problem is THAT bad, but you guys are just pretending it does not even exist..

And this was not the case before? Why would I factor in something that hasn't changed when I'm talking about how a specific change is a severe nerf, and people don't understand the severity of it?

From my example above, the solo guy gets 3.5 more items, the duo guys get 2.145 more items each (previously they were getting 2.625 more each).

But the duo guys get to clear faster / safer than the soloer (but less fast than before because the monster hp buffs outweigh the gains a well coordinated group gets from running more auras, unless you want to tell me any dps aura is worth 50% more monster hp).

But the duo guys have to coordinate their actions, playtimes and don't get to take a break whenever they feel like it because if you want to be part of a group, you have to commit to it for a certain period of time, unlike soloers.

All the changes do is make the risk/reward of solo vs group play closer to equilibrium. Now if you have it out for those who group, and I am not among them by the way, that's a different story.
@Sikab

I totaly agreed with you. The most of the time I play solo, I don't like the idea to force us to play in groups.
