Only difference is the choice of aura will be meaningful and you'll have to plan better compensating for the lack of multiple auras with the help of the skill tree. Makes for a more interesting game.

I'm a solo player. Period. From time to time I play with a friend... but I still play 98% of the time solo.

Why? I can play in my own speed and time. No need to wait for others, I can rush, or explore, or do whatever I like to do. No need to wait for others, or don't do things I want because others want different things.

Will solo play be available after this horrible patch? Yes it will.

Will solo play be viable or competitive? Hell no.

isnt you judging the game to fast? i feel it isnt Worth to judge it already, as they mention already "we are not scared to do drastic Changes, if we have too" :)

Why does it matter, if you can play the game you want to play? Why be so concerned with what everyone else is doing? Also, yes, a fully coordinated group deserves credit for its skill, but lets not kid ourselves. Groups in this game absolutely steamroll content. As long as the group has decent gear and skill.... its pretty simple. Even solo, this is true(Pre-patch obviously)

Im not complaining about that, btw, just saying that it does not require great coordination to play hard maps/so on.

I like how people don't understand just how badly groups were hurt by the nerf to the group item quantity bonus.

When a 250% mf guy gets a kill, he gets a (1+250/100)=3.5 multiplier to his loot.
Now a second guy joins. Previously, the buddies were getting a (1+0.5)*(1+250/100)= 5.25 to their loot. With 1.0's change, they'll be getting... a (1+0.1)*(1+290/100)= 4.29 multiplier to their loot.

So, 3.5 split one way vs 4.29 split two ways. Previously, this was 3.5 one way vs 5.25 two ways. And yet, no ability to comprehend the positive change. Welp.

Except decent groups will still have a much higher clear speed, which you totally did not factor in that those numbers.

If a group kills say, twice as many monsters... How does loot work out then?

I mean, I argue against a lot of people in this thread and I dont even think the problem is THAT bad, but you guys are just pretending it does not even exist..

Way to go, OP. You made a post describing your problems with the new patch, in a polite way, and explained why you now no longer wished to donate more. Then you got a bunch of garbage responses from people who for the most part didn't donate anything. I would expect nothing less from this forum.

What do you mean with compete though?
Are you playing for 18h a day? If not I think you're already (probably) not competing.

I'm just playing the game for fun and see which level I can reach before I die. Of course I like doing the challenges, but actual 'competing' takes a loooooooooooooot of effort and time.
