I dont actually agree with some of that(I enjoy playing solo, I find its generally more challenging than steamrolling in groups for one thing) but you made fair points there.

Much better than just asking if I liked anything about the game.

That said, groups get auras, and things like conduit already to increase the power of their farming. More auras and more charges increase the capabilities of the entire group, and even with the HP buff its still less than 100% mob hp per player(I think)

Basically, you believe the negatives to group play require a buff to loot in groups to make it worthwhile, and I think that the buffs to survivability and clear speed make group play powerful enough to not need that buff to loot.

I play 90% solo and 10% with one other casual player. Still I've set up a payment plan for eternal. I think GGG is going the right way, the only problem is so many people don't like changes because it 'damages' their previous characters or whatever. The great thing about this game is that starting over is so fun, why are you all complaining about it? Accept the changes, make new builds, have fun or gtfo.

Bro you can't really do solo play to max lvl. Dude i solo'd every map in anarchy....and i was left with a few high lvl maps and being DEAD BROKE. You can be lucky enough to get the items to solo maps, but you won't likely be. I like to solo as much as the next guy, but let me save you some time. YOU CANNOT DO SOLO MAPS WITHOUT LOTS OF CURRENCY OR LOTS OF LUCK. You should have already been lvling in public games because it is way quicker. Soooooooo Get a group or another game bro.

Solo will still very much be viable. Nothing in the patch notes says it wont. I'll be playing mostly solo in the new leagues and I'm really looking forward to it!

Not sure what's considered "end-game". I played my Marauder to lvl78 pure solo before. Got my 6L HP chest also.

I'm pretty proud of it :)

@OP: In terms of your specific evaluation of 1.0, you are most definitely jumping to conclusions. You should try it before you knock it, or at least before you knock it THAT hard.

However, in the long run... only time will tell. Who knows? You may be right. The man who believes he is invincible is the man which finds out he is wrong... and quickly. GGG and the PoE community would be wise to dwell on that. That said, I believe PoE's success is the smarter bet.

Oh I didn't think that rarity would stack that way. I can very well see your point, but I am up for a good challenge. I will have spent more time and earned every piece that I have. Not saying that parties won't, but my personal sense of accomplishment will increase from learning this. We will see how scaling goes, that's my biggest issue at the moment ^_^
