Kaoms + Shavronnes legacy - pvp influence

personally i would say GGG would like standar league to die, and cleanse all their mistakes with it, but their game isn´t popular enough to withstand such a discontent. So this is the best solution they could came up with.

1. it doesn´t affect anyone who is already playing and have legacy items.

2. in theory idiots say "ya but new players will feel threatened" Well new players know sh*t about kaoms or shavrone, new players are given the option for new leagues, new players could like the game and enjoy it, they don´t need you to be sorry for them.

I don't pvp in the new leagues because I don't expect pvp to be very much alive there. I might definitely be wrong on that one because of the events GGG has planned, but for example in d2 most of the pvp was always in softcore, nonladder. The ladder guys were always working on their levels, so not much else going on there..

That's not a solution, that is avoiding the problem. These uniques will be unfair and unbalanced in permanent league pvp and should not be allowed. (But legacy items shouldn't exist anyway, so whatever). People should be able to play high level pvp on standard/hardcore in a fair arena.

Or maybe there will be an item restriction to what can and cant be used in PVP formats.

That... Isn't true at all. There was a huge pvp scene in ladder. The only difference was that you couldn't get 08 items. As a matter of fact, one ladder(that i knew of) did have 08 items. Don't ask me how they got there but I had a storm circlet ammy on ladder season 2 or 3. And I had friends with 70/15 small charms. Inside job?

You dont know the magnitude of the nerf on shavs or how much the added fire damage is.

Fair enough, but ladders in d2 didn't last too long either...so eventually people end up in nonladder anyway.
It really depends on the motivation. If you don't have that much time but just wanna play some hours pvp a day, you would not make new chars every 4 months, which anyway end up being quite the same as what you had before. It depends if there are big changes which encourage you to restart at every reset, but I doubt there will always be. At some point the game will be kind of saturated in terms of normal leveling, but that's also when pvp begins to shine.

I agree but 500 life is pretty much over any reasonable amount of fire damage we can expect from the devs :) Also I'd always prefer life over dmg, because you can get dmg more easily if you stack crit.

Play new leagues, get new league exclusive uniques when the league ends and its dumped into standard you now have even rarer legacy uniques.

All these ignorant people that dont have one just want to whine and complain! If you want everyhting handed to you, go play D3 or some other shitty game! This isnt for the casuals and little kiddies. Go play LoL or somethin! THis game obviously isnt for your whining ass!
