OP Legacy Uniques are the worst decision i've seen from the devs thus far

i have to agree with u all the way, i had a kaoms and sold it right away when price went up to 50 exalt, i tought no way are they not gonna leave this as legacy, they basically say this game only lasts 4 months of a time, and standard and hardcore leage are just a trophy room for the riches not some place we can compete or play our high level chars when we get out of the 4 months leages....

Any reason why GGG won't tweak all existing items?

Apparently they're not able to do anything with number values on the mods of items easily, only changes to the mods and their min/max rolls themselves. Like they could turn an accuracy mod into a life mod but then it'd still have the numeric values of the accuracy mod.

So I guess GGG don't have a way of dipping into everyones stashes and saying UPDATE NUMBER on all your items. Which sucks cause I remember them saying they had a way of doing that in development. May as well hold back nerfs until that's actually possible.

Yea this was the only part of the 1.00 patch notes I was very very very disappointed with. They have made truly expensive items even more expensive by allowing legacy versions to exist. They should all be nerfed without choice.

Not nerfng them all to save the players who spent currency on these items is nice and all...but it screws future players from procuring items of the same potency because the cost for the legacy version will be staggering....

I don't agree with the legacy bullshit. It's a little unfair to those who didn't get a chance to buy the items before and to new players who may want to play one of the permanent leagues. It's also a crappy move as far as PVP goes.

I think the legacy thing is a bad idea and I have a few of the items that are being nerfed:




Lol, funny thing is though, that Kaom's heart has never been used since I found it. Haven't even played the game the past month. Might just give these uniques away as I simply don't have the time to play POE atm.

I am happy with the changes and I own none of the op uniques. It won't matter the majority anyway, who will play in new leagues.

Either way worry less about other peoples characters and more about your own. They were nerfed for a reason: to make the game suitably challenging.
