Ehh, sorry, from my point of view thats like calling a piece of shit the best piece of shit ever and saying that that makes it ok. Its still a piece of shit /shrug. There is more than enough random in just getting shit to drop in the first place, I dont need random layered ontop of random layered on top of more random. IGN

"...which is why I used it... "This is kind of true and kind of not. Unlike blitzball, nothing in the game is "hard-gated" by trading; you can still find anything yourself, it's just that with trading you find it easier. The flip side, as you say, is that trading is more universal and applies to all characters, not just one of them. The result is a push that isn't quite as hard, but that push hits a far wider population (whereas some people just didn't give a fuck about Wakka in FFX and weren't effected). Although it's nice if we don't exaggerate the strength of the push, the point is, push is still there, push is likely too strong. There's lots and lots of QQ talking about feeling pushed to trade, and if you have that many players, this huge population, feeling pushed, something is pushing them. Perhaps many things; after all, we are dealing with a lot of former D3 players here who have gotten into some bad habits with trading expectations. Nevertheless, we should have elements in the game which reduce the current push to trade somewhat, without removing trade nor rendering it useless. "You just don't like gambling. That's okay; you don't have to like gambling, you can trade your currency if you want. (If you don't like either, sucks to be you.) But I think the main problem you have is that the vendor recipe system is horribly underdeveloped, and just about the only thing it is good at crafting currently are... gambling materials! Not particularly useful to you, are they? When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. " Yea, you are right. I didnt even really mean to say you were wrong or anything. The current system just pisses me off, and maybe what you are suggesting could help but.. Its still annoying as hell at current /shrug. IGN

" Crafting is gambling honestly. What else would you like crafting to do? You have said item throw an exalt on it then get to pick and choose what gets rolled on said item? That is the only way it wouldn't be considered gambling/crafting and then the game would be full of bis items. It has to stay as "gambling" in my opinion. Edit: This point has already been made. I guess I should have read further :) Last edited by Pfinch#0458 on Oct 15, 2013, 12:42:56 AM

It can't be forgotten that the forums are quite a small sample size, and furthermore the players here are most likely here to complain, as players who enjoy the game spend their time doing just that.
I know we've already had this convo but the fact remains, I don't think it's wise to consider the idea of trading in PoE broken just because a chunk of the forums is admittedly too lazy to do it/not interested. |

" This. It's already so specific as far as what aspects of an item you want to reroll, anything more specific would definitely make it too easy. And it's nice to 6L in like 20 fusings on occasion. |

There is nothing nice about 6ling items in 20 fusings when others need 5000. Its just pure stupid. Number needs to be standardized a bit.
Ignoring that, they need a whole new set of orbs that increases the chance for exalts to roll what you want. Youll still need exalt/eternals because its not guaranteed still, but it would vastly improve the current system. IGN
