The Empower gem could use a description. I found one today and had no idea what it did--had to Alt+Tab out and Google it.

There needed a lot of help/advice/tips/description/etc for EVERYTHING in game, thats biggest reason ppl dont want even start to play PoE! New ppl.
Also Empower must be buffed: +7 to Level of Supported Active Skill Gems at 3 lvl Empower
yes it would be good if it was explained that we need to level it to 1 to do anything.

I bought a currupted Empower yesterday for my newly made "Just for Fun" Arc-Witch.
Empower pushes my DPS alot, even in its unleveled state.
I can see why GGG made it level so slowly and drop so seldom.
People would use it for literally everything if it wasnt so rare.
Lmao empower in an unleveled state does absolutely nothing.
It does if it is socketed into an item that has +1 to level of gems in this item.

yes, yes. Max skill level available there is 26, with +1 to all gems and +2 to specific gem type (melee/ranged/etc).
Level 28 is the highest level we can push an active skill, as of now.
Level 21 Vaal Molten Shell
-> +3 levels from staff mods = level 24
-> +4 levels from socketed corrupt level 4 empower = level 28
The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.

Barely any dps increase with lvl 4 empower for cycloner IN DISFAVOR.. Lame.. Not worth using at all. I mean wow.. not worth using it..
