PoE break due to horrendous RNG

I've played self found since closed beta. Just recently made a farm build, yay incinerate and thank piety for my graphics card. The drops have gotten better, but it still seems like they make it so you are less likely to find your type of armor as a drop. On top of that items with your exact needs as far as mods go are close to impossible to find so you have to overkill HP/Es in order to survive due to lacking something stupid like cast speed on your items. Sockets are a bitch and I've already suggested an item that drops at about divine rate that has 100% chance to add socket and another for links. Currently if added they would be the most expensive orbs. We need a give on getting sockets or mods and not just for self found.

Horrendous RNG... lol.

RNG can't be good or bad.. RNG is RNG.

Spoiler
is RNG is RNG.

This is just not true. Implementation of RNG, algorithms used, the way IIR/IIQ affect drops, even if done without errors, can all still be faulty. I can code an algorithm that produces seemingly random numbers, but never drops 6L's in certain areas due to a typo, or is so far from uniform that no matter how hard you try, you won't get any good drops for hours, while someone else, living in other timezone, would consistently get under favorable values in the rng table.
This is a complex math problem in which plenty of games failed - good example here would be Mersenne twister generator used in Final Fantasy 12, which can be easily manipulated.

back to ah3 u go
I'd think it's because the game is balanced for a league full of Kripps. And it kind of has to be.

When custom leagues become available, I'd like to ask Chris how he'd rebalance for a solo, self-found league of people with day jobs. How about a mechanic that the more hours a week an account or IP plays, the more negative IIQ/IIR it accumulates?

There are a lot of opinions here that deserve GGG attention. Probably if they don't change the current RNG-non-rewarding-fest in loot and craft I'll take a look at D3 updates and Grim Dawn.

The game is awesome in some aspects (that most of us coincide), but some of the core mechanics are implemented feeling like they thought about how to frustrate the player instead making him enjoy the game, and I doubt that GGG will change those at this point, after several months of beta testing where those changes should be done.

This is as stupid as making less drops the more you level up. Oh wait ? That's the case !

Totally agree.
Most people wouldn't mind one roll of a dice. But, PoE has rolls upon rolls.
eg.
1. Hit monster, does monster drop? RNG
2. Monster drops item, which item? RNG
3. Get item; is it white, blue, yellow or unique? RNG
4. If get unique, which one from base? RNG (refer to infernal mantle or shav wrap here!!!)
5. Now do sockets. RNG
6. Now do links. RNG

Crafting isn't any better.

Yeah, I have had enough of the slot machine too. Time for a break.

Of course, those of you with godly 6L SW and Kaoms can just LOL. You won the lottery, while thousands didn't.

Propably the last time I gave money for the game. As solo-selffound I don´t feel welcome in the game any more.Feels more like a second-class person, who´s money is taken but is heavily discriminated. And playing eight hours finding MAYBE (!) one 66map is not funny either.
