PoE break due to horrendous RNG
Hey everyone, I finally am taking a break from PoE for I'm not sure how long. I am not giving away any items or accounts, just getting old grinding for stuff with 120IIQ/300IIR and not dropping anything other than trash uniques of which I have 6 stash tabs full of. I say "I'm not sure how long for" because I don't suspect anything will be done about RNG soon. As an exalted supporter I do feel like if I did quit today I still would have gotten my moneys worth so I'm ok. We'll see in the future if I will log back in or not but for now, I can think of some other games which are a little more rewarding in end game.

I would just like to say I'll still be playing. It seemed post worthy. :P

" I appreciate the comment and to be honest I was expecting people to flame me for making the thread. It just feels like closure to post into here where I have spent the last almost 2 years reading these forums. i like big crits and i cannot lie, you otha brothas cant denyyy....

I am on the fence for basically the same reason. RNG is just out of control.

I can understand the situation.
I'm also considering stopping after 6 months of fun. It WAS fun, I won't deny it. But there's lack of either: - new content - any reward or way to influence RNG so people don't waste weeks of playtime accumulating currency to get ripped off buying their dream item from unscrupulous traders. Even the "almighty house of fools" (=Blizzard) has finally realized this after 18 months of mindless and stupid D3... Playing D3 on PS3 for 2 days has been more rewarding and fun than playing it for 6 months on PC. Well, I won't shout at GGG, they've done a good job until now, but it's time to switch gear if they want the game to become really successfull, 6 months beta was more than enough. I like how you mentioned trash uniques. I have a thread I made about how I hate finding common uniques in the end game but it didn't generate enough discussion.
Its hard for me to believe that people really enjoy this. I have never liked it even back in closed beta. Standard Forever

" Yes I agree and would most certainly like to thank GGG for this wonderful game and really love getting to see the community get so involved in the making of a game. My T-Shirt(s) , posters, etc etc will be coming to me in a while so maybe when I get the clothing gear I "MAY" log back in. We'll see.. TLDR; GGG is the best! But I need to break now from it for a while :) i like big crits and i cannot lie, you otha brothas cant denyyy....

Yeah RNG is truly ridiculous in this game...you can spend 2000+ fusings or 1 single fusing to 6L an item. The randomness is great up to a certain point. After many months playing Open Beta, I'm finally making a dedicated MF build to earn some currency, but I'm really not sure if it's going to be worth it.
I just want to play the build I want to play without having to: 1) Make an MF build 2) Flip items in trade or short-sell other players 3) RMT (I will NEVER do this) I expect GGG has come to understand the extent of this problem though, and I hope that considerations will be given to introduce positive changes to RNG at game release. Hey man, I'm totally with you. I stopped playing my level 90 cycloner cause all I find on him are trash whites/rares and the occasional level 10 unique. So, decided to make an iiq/iir char and have been grinding those maps in hopes for some reward for my playtime and effort, and all I'm finding is low level trash uniques and the most horrendously rolled rares possible. I'm not saying I should be entitled to the best loot ever, but seriously the drop rates for good items are terrible. Playing selfound in this game would be very discouraging.
