Think this is better than Diablo III?

Sheesh. Get over yourself. Just because you dislike something doesn't mean everyone else must share your taste. Fun fact: People and their tastes differ!

Personally, I like both PoE and TL2 a lot. They both are ARPGs, but they do certain things differently enough that I feel justified playing and enjoying both.

Atm, I'm spending more time on TL2 because it is new and I haven't seen all of it (currently in the middle of Act 2).
But PoE speaks to another side of my tastes, and I'm quite sure I will be playing it for a long time.

Btw, I play TL2 off-line and LAN with my roomie. And that's precisely one (of many) reasons I like it: Because I can play it off-line if I so choose.

Joke responses? You asked for it. :p

D3 = entirely too wowesque. Half of the features bragged about pre-release have yet to even be released. Hardcore is impossible with all the latency and errors. IMO fail of a game.
People have different tastes. Personally, I like d3 and tl2. But PoE is really the game I've been looking for. I like the feel of PoE. I wouldn't want the clean graphics all the other games have. It's a mood.

PoE is more like listening to an old song, remastered.

It has to look this way or you'd lose the timbre.

If you do, my response is: LMAO!

First of all, Diablo III is a terrible game, mainly because of the cookie cutter builds and poor itemization.

However, after playing Torchlight II for a while now, I've come to the conclusion that it is really the Diablo III killer we've been waiting for. The itemization is done fantastically and you really can make a whole variety of viable builds from each class. I haven't been this addicted to an ARPG in a while. The graphics are cartoony, but the art style is really great.

Path of Exile, on the other hand, is complete and utter joke of a game. The dull world, stiff animations, slow and sluggish combat, dated graphics, embarrassing item design, and overly complicated skill system- all of these things contribute to the unplayability of this game for me.

So, to anyone promoting this game over alternatives, I really can't help but laugh. In my opinion, PoE Beta is NOT worth $10. You couldn't pay me to play this game. I've been in the beta for months and I've had absolutely no inclination to re-install it.

Why is Path of Exile so bad? Well, let's just say that the quality and polish of this game is equivalent to that of this website. I should have taken that as a hint.

Get a CLUE: Path of Exile is in closed BETA. As such, it is not fair at ALL to compare it to finished, released games. I am a huge fan of Torchlight II but I would not say it is a "better" game than Path of Exile. I support Path of Exile because it shows stunning promise. The devs are CONSTANTLY working on the game and improving it. The ONLY thing I fear is that GGG will simplify the skill web because people are afraid to make decisions. If GGG dumbs it down to the point of Diablo III then YES, I am out of here, but, I do not foresee that happening.

I LIKE the art style of PoE and thank HEAVEN there are no killer butterflies (think Magdha in D3) in PoE. Wraeclast is like a nightmare Botany Bay. It has a nihilistic aesthetic that I find rather refreshing. Demons and other hellspawn really has been done to death. I will concede that the animations were a bit stiff in PoE, but I have noticed improvements at least in my Witch and Ranger.

You talk about an overly complicated SKILL system???!!! Really??!! You are sayiing that you are incapable of following lines and curves and that you are unable to perform the rather rudimentary task of hovering your mouse over a point in the skill web to actually READ what that skill does? Man, YOU are the reason I am afraid that GGG will dumb down the skill web.

As to this page, what do you want? All kinds of flash nonsense or do you want substantive information about the game?

No disrespect, but if you want a game that makes your decisions FOR you, there is a multimillion dollar product out there that sells for 60 USD and it was made just for you. Given your argument AGAINST PoE, I am flummoxed as to why you love Torchlight given that ITS skill tree is actually a bit more opaque than PoE.

yes i think this game is better than diablo3
I've never understood forum threads where people say that just because someone has different tastes than them that the other person must be wrong.

I loved Torchlight, I love Torchlight 2, I'd probably love D3 if I didn't boycott Blizzard, and when I finally get PoE to work, I think I'll probably love it too.

More love, less hate. That's what the world needs (I'm not a hippy or anything, but it's the truth).
i realy like passive skill tree in POE
I like how OP thinks that a game that lets you create overpowered items is the best alternative. ROFL OP, you surely are an ARPG PRO eh... I mean, are you serious? it doesn't even clasify as an acceptable ARPG unless they change that policy and encourage the competition all ARPGs are about.
