How to stop Razer footprints (without mods)

Love how people pro-footprint constantly like to leave out immersion as one of the game's qualities. As little role playing as there is in this game, at the end of the day it's still an rpg, and immersion is part of the foundation that supports the game, just as combat mechanics, loot etc are, which yes, footprints don't hurt. Immersion takes a MASSIVE hit with shit like product placement.
Would you like to see Pepsi vending machines in your WoW cities? They don't hurt anyone.
How about a McDonald's inn in your Baldur's Gate?

If you truly don't care about seeing an advertisement pop up after every footstep of a character, then you're simply not experiencing the game and what it has to offer as fully as you could, as immersion is completely shut off for you.

Lets talk about immersion, what do you think of when you see a little bird wearing a suit of armor running around in the "foreboding world of Wraceclast" - does that really fit in? Or is it actually just some silly little thing people can get a kick out of.

Is the razer logo really that bad? Or is it three coiled snakes that appear for a second and disappear?

I would say it is just three snakes,

If I didn't frequent the forums I would have thought the foot prints were just a store item, personally I think it fits well for a poison focused character.
I never saw any snakes in the logo until someone pointed it out to me yesterday.

Does anyone who previously knew it as a logo like the footsteps? Did you know it only as a logo or did you see the snake outlines?

Personally, I don't care about the Razer Comms + PoE cross promotion, but the immersion breaking is the big deal. The logo is almost exactly the opposite of what the PoE aesthetic is. It's bright and in your face, EXTREME, exciting! PoE is dark, gritty, oppressive, bleak. The fact that the color green is in the game already doesn't make it the same tone.
GGG needs these advertisements to support the cost of non-paying players like me

u mad bro?

POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!

It fits in perfectly. Magical birds in a magical land. Compare that to RL company with it's RL logo stamped all over the floor of said magical land. There is a clear difference, and if you don't see it then its because you've made a conscious decision not to.

What it actually depicts is irrelevant, as is supposed to be the case with logos. It's about instabrandrecognition of an RL company, in Wraeclast. That's what logos do, they make you think of the company. If they didn't, Razer wouldn't have bothered having their logo in the game.

You should see me driving my CLK 320 AMG around my local Khmer neighborhood ;)

I just realized that you were the one pointing it out to me. How did you know they were snakes? Did you know it as the Razer logo before you saw these footprints? Do you think the footprints look good?

I didn't realize the footprint effect was actually the word "razor" that strobes across half the screen with every step taken.

That constant "flashing in your face" like that definitely has to go...I had assumed that the actual effect was a small, discreet logo that trails behind in a player's footsteps.

Is this sarcasm or just bad deduction?
It's just the logo, not the name.
The flashing part could be removed or toned down later by GGG. I'm guessing they will since there's all this outcry about the footprint and all that happening.

Wut. There's a big still picture of it on the front page you know...it's pretty easy to see the snakes...
Also funny that, as PoE's own cosmetics are much more brighter and in your face, eg. supporter pack weapon effects.
