How to stop Razer footprints (without mods)

There will be more marketing tie-ins like this. We should just get used to ignoring the ugly effects and mocking anyone who uses them.

If my friends decide to mess with me by turning on the green feet, I'll have to blind them with all my high-contrast special effects. Less complaining on forums to GGG about what is afoot, and more pressuring the people who are actually polluting your game.

Enjoyed this turn of phrase (bolded).

Its GGGs game, if they want to accept developing money from a company in exchange for some advertisement, so be it. Their game. Who knows? maybe they will use that money towards fixing real problems with the game.

I absolutely agree, which is why I began this post by saying we should stop trying to stop GGG from doing things like this, because it will prove ineffective. We just need to stop our friends from being annoying with the advertisement tracks.

Why are you amazed? You seem to think you made a point.

Just like you Ionface: I did.

and just like yours: It's worthless and waste of time.

But if you want to waste our time, and GGG's time with your nonsense, why can't I.
Feel free to kick me at your leisure...perhaps you should kick GGG because clearly you don't approve of their "attitude".

Maybe give up your alpha spot to someone that understands the privilege (not myself, I don't have the time atm), I'm sure there's someone out there that would appreciate it.

So is your point that I'm wrong because GGG has made the deal without my consent? I am failing to follow your implications. Please explain your point without missing a logical step.

About the Alpha comment, I don't see how you are linking my account to this argument. Are you just saying that because you have no ground to stand on regarding the subject, so you are attacking me personally?
I wear my Razer feet for no other reason than to annoy people like the OP.

The Razer footprints would only be a problem if they actually hurt the integrity of the game. They do not. You are being irrational for thinking that they do. Get over it, and just be glad that GGG is getting some more cash.
Bullshit, you get the game for free.

Love how people pro-footprint constantly like to leave out immersion as one of the game's qualities. As little role playing as there is in this game, at the end of the day it's still an rpg, and immersion is part of the foundation that supports the game, just as combat mechanics, loot etc are, which yes, footprints don't hurt. Immersion takes a MASSIVE hit with shit like product placement.
Would you like to see Pepsi vending machines in your WoW cities? They don't hurt anyone.
How about a McDonald's inn in your Baldur's Gate?

If you truly don't care about seeing an advertisement pop up after every footstep of a character, then you're simply not experiencing the game and what it has to offer as fully as you could, as immersion is completely shut off for you.

i like my razer prints. they're snakey like the chaos cobra snakes. i don't see how they break immersion. i just wish i had a piece of green gear to match them, or emerald ROA effect.

The examples you give are much more extreme than a footprint effect that actually kind of fits into the game. I would imagine the majority of the playerbase won't even realize that its a company's logo, rather than just another footprint effect.
If anything they are less extreme, as you're not likely to see the vending machine nor the inn constantly flashing in your face throughout your playtime.
I didn't realize the footprint effect was actually the word "razor" that strobes across half the screen with every step taken.

That constant "flashing in your face" like that definitely has to go...I had assumed that the actual effect was a small, discreet logo that trails behind in a player's footsteps.
