It's time to face the fact that Totems are a failed mechanic.
" Burn builds are more fun if you self cast. |

" In a game like this, everything will be done as a build. Do you think that Tempest Shield and Molten Shell are not support skills? Well, there are builds for both. |

" That's a good answer. It's the one I also come up with. That said, it's a terrible reason to nerf things, and it's why I get so irate when people judge them without bothering to fully test them first. Does Magic Find work? Sure, you will find thousands of garbage rares. What it DOES NOT do, is guarantee you will find anything good. 8 hours of farming docks with 110/300 and 80/400 alternating, and I got 2 unique drops. A Shiversting and a Goldrim. All my "amazing drops" have come when I was running far far less than that. Close to 60/120. It's RNG, and so many people don't seem to understand that. There will always be "haves" and "have nots" in an ARPG. I'm a have not in standard after 5 months of playing. I'm a huge "Have" in anarchy after 2 months, and it's from drops and chance orbs, not trading. I played the same build in each. RNG gonna RNG. Anarchy/Onslaught T shirt

" GGG must be doing a terrible job based on the videos I'm seeing of high end builds. Also, if you don't like them or they don't fit your ARPG style, don't play them. I actually like them as an addition, and you will only take mine from my cold dead hands. |

Here are the reasons I want totems nerfed:
1) GGG has an obvious intention to keep the game difficult. 2) GGG has shown themselves willing to buff monsters and nerf various global mechanics in response to specific items and specific builds. 3) Totem builds are among the most powerful and efficient builds currently in the game. 4) I can picture bad/horrible things happening if GGG starts to balance the game around totems 5) I would prefer totems to be nerfed themselves, rather than global mechanics involving totems. " A year ago they wanted maps to be a rare experience and loot tension to be a major part of the game. |
![]() |
" they still want that, and it's still working. look at how few people are above level 91 in most leagues. if level 77 maps were abundant, you could hit level 91 pretty quickly. |

" The problem arent the maps. Shrines actually are pretty common in a lot of groups and from time to time even get chained, Shipyards seem to be a little different (I was running 2 Shipyards in Onslaught and probably 100 Shrines) The main reason why barely anyone levels past 91 is not because they lack map-supply, its this ![]() |

Calculate how many 77 maps it takes to hit 91.
It's not as many as you think. Thus, my point is proven. |

" Hard to caculate something that completely depends on the roll. Somthing like this for example ![]() wouldnt even give you close to as much exp as a magic+packsize+maze map would give you. I dont even know how to calculate it because I have no idea where to find the actual amount of EXP you get on average for each specific map. |
