Everything is wonderful. Some people here are asking for things that no game in the genre has. If grasses could be frozen, they should be burned, cut, lengthened etc. It needs enormous work and time. I don't see anything like that in any game. And it's pretty pointless.
Path of Exile will be a F2P game developed by a very small indie team. Yet, the game looks a lot more better than other games in the genre and sounds a lot more better than games like Titan Quest. Another thing that amazes me, we can see the improvement of the game's look. I know how was the state of the game 6 months ago. PoE looks like a more advanced game right now and that 6 month-old video amazed me before too. Shortly, graphics are great, spell effects are great, sounds are great, from the look of it combat feels visceral, music is missing, detonate corpse sound needs improvement. Wand attack animation (quick light) and sound is perfect. They should stay that way. @tpapp157 Dust,mud,footprints would be nice but if they would take more than a week of development; GGG should consider them for expansions. If you mean the ignite effect on mobs; that's not new... @Zidjian I guess a ring or amulet was dropped. He who fights with monsters

I wonder how much anti-aliasing affects performance? Can any alpha testers tell us how much AA affected your system? I agree with permaximum, everything looks awesome and I think everyone would be happy with how it looks now, I would. And yeah it sounds like that ding sound was a ring or maybe a gem dropping, but it could be a gem level up sound too. |

Graphics looks pretty cool, and grass effect is fine addition. Althrough I have some objections to GUI look. I will be honest with you. It looks... like... from another decade. Even Diablo (1) has better GUI. I think you should take another look at this. It's just not fit to the game graphics which looks a way better. Another question that makes me wonder is... why the monsters can't hit you on that video? You never loose health, not even a bit. Why is that? :) Regards, Oconnel. |

" The monsters don't deal much damage to the player because we use cheats to make high level characters for the videos. We take the videos to show off new effects and to grab some frames out of for screenshots (rather than to show actual combat balance). With regard to the UI, please look at this image at the native game resolution. Do you still dislike the 2d UI? I'm worried that the blurry youtube videos are distorting people's perception of it. Some of the environments look so great. Also I think the UI is very clean (I like that very much) and I would like to see party frames (because I don't think we've seen them yet).
The technology behind the game seems to be improving week by week, I don't even think Diablo 3 has anti-aliasing :) |

Well about UI, it's better with high resolution picture, but still it's a little to big for me (health and mana bubbles are huge). UI is clean and very ascetic, perhaps to ascetic for my taste. But of course this is my point of view, just had that feeling that UI is not matching in-game graphics. Some art-desinger should add some more art to it, like some demons here and there (more diablo style perhaps...) and make it more compact. I would like to see this bar more centered on screen - because current layout is to wide, and player could have some problems with monitoring health and mana levels at the same time. But once again, I must say, that a level of environment details are incredible. A job well done :)

The game looks both new and old at the same time and I like it. Very similar to Diablo 2 but I think its a good thing. Really itching to play it now hehe.
